Remember when B-Low and then Nucks fans said Kassian was going to be better than Kadri...good times.

Remember when Kadri showed his inner Undertaker with his cut throat gesture during the world juniors?

damn straight. I always loved Gardiner. Unfortunately many fans from other teams, and I guess Babcock were brain washed by not only the Toronto Media, but some of the fairweather Leaf "fans" lately.

Kadri has never got the chance. Wilson was a moron. Randy had a Bozak/Kessel fetish. Thank god Babcock is putting Kadri with JVR.. where he should be. And thank god Gardiner is actually getting the credit he deserves. Too much pressure on the guy and look what happens. And that's pressure from the coaches & whatnot. Just ease up. Play a simple game. With Babcock behind the bench, these guys like Rielly, Gardiner, Kadri, JVR will flourish, succeed, and be just fine! And I do believe Phaneuf will be a lot better & will have a good year.

(frank), I know pain is coming, but I can't wait to get the season going. I missed Hockey.

- MCharisma91

I haven't missed hockey at all actually. I think the leafs are ruining the sport for me.

You know it's sad when I'm looking forward to watching the 48th Highlanders more than seeing the game on Wednesday night.

Babcock: gardiner and Reilly are way better players than I thought. Kadri is way better than I thought. The prospects are better than I thought.

I won't even be watching the game. I'll be heading out to see Scicario.

I actually thought picking up a dangerous azshole was not a bad idea for the Habs. As long as the league tolerates it, might as well have one on your team.

He needs to clean up his act though. I don't think the captain of the Canadiens should be calling a guy like that "family". I don't think you are a member of a "family" on a franchise like the Canadiens unless you earn it.

What's the story on this?

He wasn't driving, no?

But now he's been checked into a substance abuse program?

Anyone got a good link? TSN.ca doesn't really say anything in their article.

That about sums it up.

JVR in particular is going to look bad. He won't be worth a 3rd round pick after this season, when people discover his success was all about Kessel.

I haven't missed a home opener in almost 20 years.

It's my favourite game of the season. Hope is still alive.

At least until Bernier lets in two softies in the first five minutes.

Sigh...

It's the deja vu that unites us all.

Apparently we should have some compassion for him.

Thankfully the Habs fans think their compassion blog is dumb also.

... when Kadri enters the program for his cocaine problem, I won't have any compassion for him.

I have a glimmer of hope for JVR.

Babcock scared the hell out of 1,000 minor hockey league coaches sitting in the stands of the ACC last Saturday - made us all shove our phones in our pockets.

He's not effing around. He's not a touch-feely teddy bear.

I wasn't really buying into the hype until I saw him flash some anger (and it wasn't even real anger).

JVR has all the tools - he just has no desire. That will either change under Babcock (in a real hurry), or JVR is in for a world of pain, frustration and benchings.
