I always thought the "defenseman on the off-side" thing was overblown. I played defense my entire life, am a LH shot and I prefer the right side. Of course, I don't have to perform at that level though.
It's going to be Strait. - eichiefs9
I also thought it was overblown. I agree it will be Strait. He is the depth guy and with Hickey hurt it makes sense Strait would get the call. |

Top 4 lines for #Isles same as previous practices, fifth line is 90-13-16. Boulton skating as 8th D-man today.
This pretty much tells you all you need to know about what the lineup is going to be to start the year.
The lines are:
Lee-JT-Strome
Bailey-Nielsen-Okposo
Nelson-Grabo-Kulemin
Martin-Cizikas-Clutterbuck
Bernier
Petrov will go to the AHL, Barzal will go to back to Seattle - eichiefs9
I'm not crazy about the 2nd and 3rd lines at all. It is what it is. We'll find out soon enough how it works out. |

We all know the way things start is hardly how they are going to stay. Nelson could end up on the second line a few games in. Maybe even centering it. |

good news on halak. just need him healthy. losing hickey hurts our depth and opens the door to capuano to over use strait, but it also could provide pulock an opportunity (although someone's going to have to play the other side if pulock plays the right side)
interested to see what they do with this. - Isles_since_6
Im hoping they give Pulock a chance. I think Viz can play his off side with all his experience, Im sure he's done it before. I think Viz would rather play his off side with Pulock vs playing the right side with Strait as a partner. |

i wouldnt lose too much sleep over which line is labeled 2 and which is labeled 3. i think those lines are pretty solid. they might tweak among those 2 lines but lines 1 and 4 look very solid!! |

1 and 4 look great. Bailey and Frans on the 2nd line? To be fair, I do not even want Frans and Bailey on the team. |

I love that line.
Its like when I might make a comment to a friend about their kids, and they say "You don't have kids, so you don't get it." I always say yeah true, but if I did, I'm sure they wouldn't be acting like midgets hopped up on meth. |

You've never owned a midget that had a meth addiction so don't even pretend that you know that feeling. For those of us that do, it is such a life-changing experience. |

I almost googled "cuchini" but I'm pretty sure that by looking at the name I can figure out what you're referring too |
