Seems the only young guy getting a shot is Harrington. Personally I would be swapping him for Percy, but hey the difference is likely negligible.

I realized the kappinen trade was after..my point was we have a few smaller skilled players..we needed a solid Centre or a stud D..and we had a huge shot at Strome we could have talked to Phoenix who picked him one spot ahead of us and maybe traded 4and 24 for 3 and pick him or 4 plus Bozak plus .with the right mind frame we could have got him..hunter was completely 100%picking him no matter who was at 4

New Jersey does that trade all day long, but only if we toss in Kadri and JVR because you know the new Jersey forwards will excel offensively elsewhere, but the Leafs forwards production will decline when they are traded.
