I think it helps highlight that holding onto the puck, doubling back, doing a loop in your own zone, trying to push forward again and ending up losing the puck behind the enemies net is really good on the possession driving scale...and not particularly effective in reality.

Remember how everyone on here was saying Marner was going to be the next Claude Giroux, and that Dylan Strome was just another large, slow skating 2nd line centre? That if we had a choice between Strome and Marner, that we should take Marner? I guess it's why most of us will never be a GM in the NHL, AHL or CHL. Not saying that Strome is going to be better, but I think that he has tools that will make him a better pro then Marner, mostly size and being a true centre. Marner will end up being a small winger, with speed......where have we seen this movie before?

I liked them both.....but I didnt think Strome would be available by the time the leafs picked.

Has anyone ever thought, that maybe the Devils will retain half of Zajac's salary and that they end up with Bozak at full price? We get Zajac for two more years, but at a reduced rate. If we ended up buying out the last couple of years, the cap hit would be even more reduced. Maybe Zajac would actually play out his full contract and be an effective Leaf for under 3 million a year.

The problem is.....he was selected 4th overall in a very deep draft. He looked like a boy against men out there. He'll be OK, in two to three years, but I don't see him being the next Claude Giroux.
