there is no way this trade is legit...what trade has Lou made that was a legit rumor? the guy makes trades out of the blue and "inside sources" didnt have a clue it was happening.
BUT
if it is true, only way it makes sense for the leafs is if Bozak, robidas go to NJ with Zajac and a pick coming to toronto.
All you smart toronto fans seriously think either JVR or Kadri would of cracked fifty points playing low event hockey for half the year on the second lowest scoring team in the league ? you guys already talk like you will be the lowest scoring team in the league without phil and we don't have anything like phil in jersey to help any toronto forward out that would me sent here. You put some of these NJ forwards you are laughing at in an offensive system with even half decent players and their stats would likely rise.
Also we are right near the cap floor so why move one of our biggest contracts just to give up a top three draft pick ? what are you on I would like some please ! Both teams are rebuilding why the (frank) would we want to deplete ourselves of the one the we need the most and have the least of to get older and more average.

I don't like these deals but i honestly can't say I would want JVR or Kadri so it doesn't bug me how ridiculous these trades are. The Leafs and Devils don't make good trade partners as they have the same goal and will be looking for similar assets. I don't know how long it will take for people to realize that. Also I am sure if we wanted to move Zajac a player with a pretty nice cap hit would have to be coming back or we might go under the floor so why would we be looking to move Zajac for a player that is equally useless and doesn't help our cap situation out that much. Plus he is a leader and a player that wants to play here so instead of trading him for essentially him why not keep him and not disturb anything ? it just makes to little sense for us to be talking trades. - blizzzard
