How exactly did Subban get screwed? By being sent to France for a training camp? He had 0 chance of making the team so they indicated they want him to get a head start with the Comets. There is zero evidence Benning doesn't like him. Hutton is slightly ahead on the depth chart and they clearly think he will get a few games this year. He played on the Comets a bit last year so they probably feel it's not as important for him to be with the team from the start |

Ok first hockey question.
So couple months ago gm Benning said he will not sign Hammer and Radim to a extension. So if at tdl we are in the playoff or kind of On the edge. Do you guys will be piss if Benning trade them? - Yannick72
Sounds like a big fat misquote to me.
He even said just recently that both sides are open to negatiations during the season.
But I think it's hard to find someone on here who doesnt support trading away expiring contracts for picks this season. Some people have doubts they would if in the playoff hunt... but still would like it to happen anyways. We want to move on quicker than the owner does thats for sure.

I was going to respond to his post with some common sense as well but just can't be bothered with his shots in the dark anymore.

my mentalitie is quite simple- if your a canuck i got your back, if you not then burn in hell !!
and if you bail on my team ala Lugongo or Kesler then you are worse then dead to me! |

I will be pissed if he doesn't trade them not matter what state they are in. We have players knocking on the door to play here now. Make the room and get the draft picks |

I don't exactly see where Sbisa has earned it. He gets more flack than he deserves yes, but the sympathy wagon is a bit much. He was here 1 season... played D poorly but did carry most of the physical play on D for us... granted. He was paid for better results than he showed and now he has a raise to further live up to. I think he has to show us a lot more before we start stalking him.

Linden sat a few weeks back at the charity golf tourney, Subban would not be playing on the Canucks this year. He said before training camp, he loved his progress but he needs a year in Utica. No one got screwed as Nucker suggested |

i think the 20+ smill he got for coming here and bringing Keenan with him to destroy that core was ample enough respect |

I don't think they needed to is all. Corrado would do fine as a #6 and needs the games.
On the other hand, if they trade Hammer... it makes complete sense and Corrado will get games because of injury....
I don't have a problem with Bartowski. He's fine in a 2nd or 3rd pairing (4/5). |

I know this is assuming but if they are trade what kind of return we can get?
Hammer= first + b prospec
Radim= first or second + b prospect |

Never sure what Benning is going to take. The best I have seen him negotiate are only seconds so far. I need to wait and see but regardless I take the picks |

I'm not too bothered by it. It's added depth in an area where we don't have a lot. And if one thing is certain, it's that the Canuck blue line will get banged up. |

I'm not a Weber fan but he's a cheap boost to our PP and other than Edler, no one else is capable on the PP.
Corrado has a decent point shot and can pass. There is potential for him in a couple of years to play PP. He just needs a couple of seasons as a regular.

I don't think it's a secret that Benning isn't a fan of Shinkaruk. I recall numerous rumours involving him being shopped. |
