Well the Red Wings play by play guys have Scuderi penciled in to play with Pouliot when the regular season starts. Of course they also think that Malkin and Hornquist will be on the second PP unit so they have no clue what they are talking about. Thanks god! At least it's not choppy BS like last game.

On a better note Mathew Murray looks like he belongs in the NHL this year. And I think Pouliot put some size on, he looks bigger and stronger. But I think Bennet will miss 4-6 weeks after blocking a shot from the point.

I did give instructions on how to close that in the thread before the last game... but no, its the best you can find, and it will suck no matter what.

Firstrow is no longer a good site for streams... completely plagued with ads... but there is no real alternative.

It's not fair, with all the great looking young forwards the Wings have they also have Sproul, Marchenko and Oulette on defense. Just fantastic scouting and drafting.

Well every time Detroit scores it seems to expose Scuderi. On at least 2 goals the puck went in the net with Scuderi laying on the ice in the crease. He makes Gonchar look capable. Most of the players playing tonight have little to no chance of making the team so it's hard to watch.

It is hard to watch. Scuds and Gonch = Yikes! F'n terrible. Pouliot still scares the sh!t out of me playing defense. He keeps playing like this, he might not be starting the season in the NHL.

I hate to agree about Pouliot but he did get stripped there and almost gave up a goal. But Scuds looked horrible on the first 2 goals and Gonchar flubbed the third one. At least Pouliot hasn't been on the ice for a goal yet. Malkin is playing but he obviously doesn't give a crap tonight so it might be a long night for Murray and Jarry if he gets in. Murray deserves better defense because he is making the saves he needs to make.

if i was Malkin i wouldnt either. outside of a vet battling for a job or young players trying to prove something. these vets/stars have nothing to care about.

I don't think Scuderi's embarrassing play makes Gonchar look better... I feel bad seeing how bad he is too

it helps them manage the salary cap. dont have a go overpay a vet in free agency if u have a younger guy coming a long on a cheap contract.

Crosby needed to test the waters with Kessel, and Kunitz/Dupuis had to show they are still who they are. Plot also, needs to show, and Malkin taking off that game doesn't help his countryman.


This game... its Malkin line... and... Lovejoy-Pouliot line taking the top minutes. Its really not a good position for most when you have both the top forward line and top D line not in the game.

All players should be playing their best... but thinking thats not exactly what you meant.

Hes signed to play 2 more years, at a nice chunk of change. Also gonna believe he loves the game, and is not just a vet sticking it out for more money... So, is he aware that he is really bad? Maybe... if it sinks in and he realizes "hey, they want you gone, they are getting spiteful of your being here", that is when he will waive to be traded outside of the 5 in his NTC.

Can we keep Sprong in the lineup and trade Kunitz and Lovejoy for a top 4 defenseman? Who are we targeting?
