ok technically that's true, except for the fact that Mullen was 35 and Trottier was 36 when Mario was 25 and in his prime....unlike the Boys on the Bus in Deadmonton. - LeftCoaster
Gretzky was producing before boys on the bus era. His first year he tied Dionne for scoring title but lost because Marcel had more goals

Gretzky also said he wasn't a very good goal scorer.

Really don't get what the deal is with Subban. Even if you don't like the guy for whatever reason, what's the harm in at least giving him a game? He probably wouldn't have cracked the team but who knows?
Is he really that far from Biega/Corrado/etc. level? - Sweeticlayd

Meh....Mario had 199 points and 85 goals playing with Rob Brown as his winger, not Jari Kurri. He was better, just accept it
If Mario would have retired after the 1997 season, like he should have, he'd have been the only player in NHL history with a PPG average over 2...better than Wayner. But no, he's gotta come back and try to save the franchise, in the five seasons he came back he was only able to play 170 games...that's two seasons worth. |

Honestly, I have no idea what you're talking about. I've lurked on HB for a while, decided to finally make an account today, mainly so that I could join the HBSL. - Sweeticlayd

I think I can speak for me, which is as big as two people, so I'm comfortable with saying "we're". |

I think Vantel is right and here is why: DURABILITY.
There is a reason why I think Seguin is better than Taylor hall (Tyler>Taylor)
andit's very simple: Taylor Hall is reckelss and not as durable. I think he might be the more talented guy, but he is going to get hurt cause he plays physical game.
Similarily, Gretzky played a game that allowed him to stay healthy, Mario was often injured because he played more physical. Points per game are interesting, Mario's is actually not as high as you might think because his comeback dropped it quite a bit. I'd take Gretzky 10/10 times, why? because he will play 82 games and 24 playoff games healthy, and likely win. |

The 'Season Ticket Holder' thing makes us suspect that you might be a mole.
Would you like to see Hansen on the 1st line with the Sedins?
Is Higgins 2nd line material?

Rob Brown was a helluva player, maybe not Kurri but pretty (frank)in good and thats not to mention Kevin Stevens, Mark Rechhi and Joe Mullen.....he played with quality just like Gretzky....
Having 5 inches and 30 pounds was certainly beneficial to Lemieux therefore the edge goes to Gretzky for me.... |

Neither of those two would be able to hold a candle to today's NHLers, Horvat would hand them their lunch if they tried to compete today |

Goalies need to go back to this size padding. Technology in equipment is so advanced that they dont need to be so "puffy". They are athleticaly better now as well, so whats the the need for this poop? |
