McCann looks like he wants to stay. And he brings scoring chances
- VANTEL

He's drawn 2 penalties on the night by going to the net.

But this is Willie Desjardins we are talking about, he'll give the spot to Vey who looks even worse than last year.

And I'm sitting at home wearing stained pajamas and responding "not much. I still don't like you much."

Virtanen sucks

absolutely invisible, he is always a step behind the puck, can never anticipate where the play is going.

We've been the better team I think, outside of goaltending. No worries though, it's just our AHL goalies playing tonight.

I don't think so. We outshot them almost 2-1. And it's not like any of their goals were beauties.

Corrado didn't help his cause. Neither did JV.

McCann Hutton and Gaunce seem to be the front runners

I'm glad we can agree that Ryan Miller is an AHL goaltender.

Did you see McCann on Brent Burns in OT, that was impressive

How many actual scoring chances did the canucks have?

It's not like it matters but SJ outplayed van regardless of the shots.

I definitely agree that it doesn't matter, but I don't think they outplayed us, or if they did it certainly wasn't a 4 goal spread.

I was also impressed with Pedan. Sending players down and bringing in those 4 would have zero affect on the cap hit. You would save 935 000 on sending a Higgins Sbisa Weber and all the players brought in are around Or under 935k

If I was to set the roster right now it would be.

Sedin Sedin Vrbata
Bear Gee Horvat Burrows
Gaunce Sutter Hansen
Prust McCann Dorsett

Vey Grenier

Edler Tanev
Hamhuis Hutton
Bartowski Pedan

Vey's here to stay for the forseeable future, but that lineup, though short on experience, probably wouldn't be significantly worse than what they will actually put out.

That D though. I know I go on about it but our D fecking sucks.

I like Bartowski so far and I liked Pedan tonight, big hits and size.

I think Hutton could replace Weber.

Let's just call Sbisa what it really is

Vey could sub in in multiple spots live Sven McCann Or any injury

Don't like Dorsett and Prust on the same line personally, if Vey isn't there.

To me that spreads scoring out a little better an every line (except the 1st) has a bit of sandpaper, speed and skill on it and it avoids having a goon 4th line.

Considering Vey could very well be competing with McCann for a spot and has a year of NHL experience under his belt, it does not bode well that he didn't stand out at all. He wasn't bad, just quiet.

That said, we're two preseason games in. Still lots of time for guys to find their game or drop down a peg.

Not bad but could you fix the D?
