Hyka was a different case. That had everything to do with the fact that he'd played in Europe the previous year and was under a certain age cutoff. Had he played only in North America, they could have signed him.

Klefblom was given his extension at age 22 with one year left on his ELC.

Next summer Ghost will be 23 and will have one year left on his ELC.
