Gagner is an offensive player, and 3 on 3 is wide open hockey. He's not a great skater but he has the puck skills for it. Shouldn't leave a forward last man back with the puck.

See, with that much ice to me skating becomes exponentially more important. In OT you are gonna need guys to be hound dogs for the puck. I'll sacrifice some offense for a more balanced player.

So its just 4 on 4 after a penalty until play stops? This is so stupid.
- hereticpride

They should have just let Ghost go against Bodie for the entire OT. Last Union Man standing style for the Hat Trick.

I agree that skating is going to be very important. So is strategy.

Not sure if it was asked, but is there a replay of tonight's game?

Okay, Medvedev at this point looks like the real deal. The Russian is smart and plays composed. Got to like Kon. He plays with speed and smarts. Tough kid. Long shot but he is determined to make it a tough call.

Got to think Sanheim gets sent back to Calgary after tonight. I didn't expect him to compete for a roster spot anyways. He was very tentative with the puck and was all out of sorts in the d zone w/ missed coverages and lost battles. Not a real shocker -- that part of his game is a work in progress.

Ghost is just electric. He'll never be a two way player and he doesn't need to be, only passable. I can't wait to see what he does in the AHL, perhaps a late season call-up comes his way, perhaps not, but he'll be fun.

Provorov will most likely go back to Brandon too. But you can tell by his ice time given and time on both PP and PK that they are really trying to get a feel for his NHL readiness. I'd think/hope they'll keep him around a little longer for an extended look. Like I said earlier, he sometimes looks very much like an 18 y.o. defenseman, but he seems very very smart and mature on the ice, like he's learning and adjusting every shift. He has a poise in his own zone and w/out the puck that Ghost and Sanheim don't (yet). I honestly think he could play for them this year and hold his own -- he seems like a kid who is unfazed by mistakes and would grow w/ each game. Now should he? No probably not.

Provorov and Medvedev seemed like the most solid pairing tonight but had the worst CF%. Can't read too much or maybe anything into possession stats one game, particularly a preseason game. I was just surprised to see that.

Samhain looked good in the OF Zone but shaky outside of that. Not a good two games for him. Ghost has some work but he does have a nice point shot. Konecky is impressive. Brayden is not looking sharp.

Konecny, medvedev, provorov all looked solid tonight. Ghost is ready offensively but I'd imagine he'd still struggle against a real NHL roster. Sanheim didn't have a great game. Saw him grabbing guys a lot too, could have had a few penalties. Overall I liked the pace the are playing with. There were some nice passes happening

I have been very unimpressed with gagner. Has some good tools but doesn't have the hustle that a lot of other guys are showing. I think he got better as this game went on, but he has a lot to prove still

It was boring. It might take a few times before players know what to do out there. After the PP it's 4 on 4 which is dumb, but I don't know how else you do it

Ghost is going to make it tough for them to send him back to the minors! He is such a dynamic player!
