Exactly, 18 year old kid makes a rookie mistake. As long as he learns from it, no damage done.

Keeping in mind it is pre season, but watching Gagner play in this game, he's not only not a good skater, but he's just plain lazy. He doesn't consistently move his feet. It doesn't matter what end of the ice it is, but he doesn't look good at all. Hopefully this is a veteran just cruising through the pre season. I just don't see the effort from him that I do from some other vets.

Ah -- I can't watch the game, but he's a rookie. Even if it was horrific, every rookie has a "that won't work in the NHL" moment. I'd hope everyone views it as a teachable moment, because we are absolutely screwed if somebody goes old-school on these kids and loses their poop every time they make a mistake
