Here's the problem with this, you don't know how they're going to play. It's one thing to criticize his player choices after they've played the season. Slamming him for doing so right after he's acquired them, when maybe with the right mix of talent, they might end up being better than what they replaced, is putting the cart before the horse.

I don't want a bunch of players with skill... skill is relative, skills also can degrade due to injury/contract/chemistry issues. I want players who are willing to compete and shove the puck down the opposing team's throats if that's what it takes to win. I'm tired of the skilled "Let's-all-stay-on-the-perimeter-and-pass-it-around-and hold-it-against-the-boards-until-the-perfect-pass-or-shot-opens-up" cycle team.

Of course I don't know how they are going to play, it is my opinion. To be fair though my biggest criticism's have been on the players who we have already seen. Garrison, Miller, Sbisa extension, Dorsett extension, Lack, Prust's value.

Those players are all known quantities and IMO are fair players to judge Benning's talent evaluation on. None of this means I think Benning is an idiot or is the wrong guy for the job but that I didn't agree with those decisions. Time will tell how they all pan out, or more than likely we will never know how things would of turned out in an alternative universe.

Well you're implying it. Vey and Baertschi were probably the only ones available he could get for what he was offering.

No, I'm not saying he can get whoever he wants and I agree he is targeting certain players. I am saying that some of player he has targeted, and for the price he has been willing to pay, I disagree with. Again I don't need to get into specifics because I think it has been said enough this summer.

Bo is probably going to turn into a man this year. I think Canucks picked up a blue ribbon player and probable future captain. This will be what I will be watching carefully at this year.

We have some great prospects coming up soon too. I am hoping after next year we have an abundance of talent ready. We can maybe swap some for D prospects .

I am curious about Bear Gee and Vey . I don't think they will blow any ones socks off but I think they will improve.

Markstrom and maybe JV may have a good storyline this year too

I agree, Markstom is probably the biggest wildcard of all and it will be interesting if he can take the next step.
I'm also stoked to watch the Comets as well this year, last year was really fun following them and there are bunch of new guys there this year.

If Vey can be an offensive threat 5v5 and not be buried in his own zone, I will be happy regardless if he scores 12-15 or 8-10. I would like to see him be dangerous in the offensive end.

If he is a passenger on the PP and puts up points like last year but isn't able to be an asset 5v5 then no, I think it will be time to find an alternative option.

Veys offense has proving to be effective. But back checking and anything else on the defensive side of the game has be horrid.

honestly, I dont know how he has a spot on the opening night roster. Which Im pretty sure he does.

Hes go good release on his shot. But other than a ppSpecialist, I dont see how he fits in with this team.....
