Nobody is denying that, you're argument is ridiculous. Currently, JVR is the better player. Drouin has more potential. That is why you would be able to trade JVR for a player that is still considered to have a lot of potential around the league. It's like trading Kessel for McDavid this season and saying Kessel will outscore him this year so don't do it....you can't see that?

I agree, But not for Drouin. I'm not saying it's a bad trade but we have so many other holes to plug as opposed to adding another marner/nylander comparable. I think JVR is overrated, i would move him in a heartbeat
