I'm really interested to see how Baertchi reacts to a new opportunity. When it's all said and done, I think the 2nd rd pick is going to look like a good price. The good thing for the Canucks is he's been developed and conditioned to play a 200 foot game. He's ripened and should be good to go. The combination of his skill, and two way development should pay dividends this year.

River blew out over night so the day of big battles was the last. I caught another in the 16 pound range and lost another at least that big after I posted. I love when a big pod of those bruisers stop there for a rest before heading up those trophy rivers.

Some of the offensive play calling is still a mystery. Not a good start and it's a good thing they have CHI at home next week as conceivably... they could go 0-4 of 0-5 to start the season having a look at the schedule ahead. Sherman looked lost out there a few times and they do miss Chancellor real bad. Could be an ugly year.
