Not his skating. There are ways to still be a top Dman and not be a fast skater. Pronger was exactly that. It was too early for him to be in the pros. - xShoot4WarAmpsx
I can't think of one current young Elite NHL dman who is a less than average skater. |

He's aa pretty good dman. Problem is he has no help and is expected to do everything.
Getting Babcock and trading Kessel should improve the defence of the whole team though. The Leafs will no longer be playing shorthanded whenever he's on the ice. - cesareborgia
He would have no more help from the flyers d than the leafs. |

Why not? I would consider it. I mean, I dont know th cap implications yet but I can see Schenn and Skinner as equals. Skinner fits the winger dynamic that we need. We know Skinner is a 2nd line player. Schenn has the potential to be a 2nd line player. I'd likely take this trade. Skinner is also a year or 2 younger. |

I meant Dion. He is definitely a little overlaid, but definitely not overrated. - cesareborgia

Rather see what we have in B Schenn first. Skinner is paid too much imo |

Another shameless reminder-
invites have been sent for renewal for the straight shooterz yahoo league. (a league I've been running specifically for hockeybuzz people for the past 6 years). I'm hoping to have everyone back for another go, but there will inevitably be a few spots open.
20 teams, full rosters, stats include the usual + hits/blocks/FW. Live draft is lengthy, so be prepared for 90 minutes - 2 hours. I'll do my best to find a date/time that the majority can make. Most managers have already responded with dates/times, but of course majority rules.
Active managers only please.
Message me if you're interested.
Draft will likely be end of september/beginning of October. Random draft order, not a keeper league. This year I'll have a pole to decide whether to do snake or linear drafting. |

PS Skinner is small and soft. BSchenn has some zing to his game and fits the power forward role if he can continue to develop accordingly. Skinner may score some goals but those concussions are always going to be an issue going forward and his contract is less than desireable. I would be cautious of moving BSchenn to an Eastern conference team but thats just me. |

Skinner used to be an amazing player, until he was knocked out half a dozen times. |

Yah he's still got some dynamic but the risk is always going to be there. Concussions are weird, especially multiple ones, he will never really be the same player imo. |

B Schenn is more well rounded as player in terms of defense, board work, checking. But dang I wish he could hit that Hartsy one timer on the PP at least one time. Guy hits the boards almost every time |
