Streit scored a lot last year and many people are suggesting we could flip him at the deadline, truth is he's not actually as good as his numbers suggest and I wouldn't bank on him repeating. Grossman was also highly overrated when he was on the team. Relax. |

I meant Dion. He is definitely a little overlaid, but definitely not overrated. |

In my opinion, he needs at least a full season in the A before being given a legitimate spot. That being said, he almost forced his way onto the roster last year and has had a pretty good camp so far. Nothing extraordinary but he's been consistently solid. I expect that the only way he sees prolonged NHL action this year is due to injuries. |

Gotcha, good point though. Just because he plays higher up in the line up that he probably should does not necessarily make him overrated. More of a depth issue at that point I guess |

I dont see why this is hard for people to understand. Brayden has a lot of potential and while he has consistency issues, it is not time to give up on him. JVR was traded around his age and then started succeeding. Luke would be a throw in if a deal was made.
Flyers will be looking to deal Dmen if any of the prospects are ready. The Flyers have 8 Dmen right now. Streit could be dealt as his value is high at this point and Luke is the obvious guy to try and deal before his contract expires. Gudas has come in and has already looked like Schenn with better skating and puck handling. Streit is not much in terms of defending but he is a PP quarterback and good offensively. |

Looking like a really good shut down d, can clear the front of the net easily and is extremely fast, unbelievably fast if you take his size into account. I don't expect more than 20-30 points out of him, but he'll be a perfect compliment to a offensive guy like ghost. |

Remember when Leafs fans stated that Schenn was untouchable and a future Shut Down Norris Trophy defenseman? - TheGame316
Well he might have been. Many have said the Leafs ruined his development by keeping him with the club. |

Yah personally I would rather not trade Brayden. He needs a chance to play in one forward position for an entire season before we make that call. None of the d prospects will be dealt at this point. Honestly I wouldnt mind having 1 or 2 more to really solidify the position going forward. Streit also gets to play with G and Jake on the power play. His number may be a bit inflated and he will be declining quickly within the next couple of years. Deal him now while he has a decent value if you ask me

Amac is what he is. An average Dman that is overpaid. He might be effective with a good D partner. We will find out, either way he is not going anywhere. |

He projects as a 2nd pair guy in my opinion.
I see the future top 6 as:
Sanheim-provorov
Ghost/del zotto-morin
Ghost/del zotto-hagg or a shut down guy if hagg doesn't pan out |

I'd deal him. I think MDZ or AMac could handle PP. I mean Amac has done it before. He could at least make up for some bad plays in his own end. |

Hard to say. I want him to become the next Pronger but I understand that could be a little unrealistic. I would be thrilled if he develops into a solid top 4 shutdown force with great skating and 30-40 points. Between Sanheim, Provorov, and Ghost we should hopefully have at least 1 Elite dman maybe 2 in the coming years. |

Idk how you ruin a players skating ability, can't blame it all on the leafs. Normally young players don't get slower as they develop which leads me to believe the speed and agility was never really there. Which, in today's game, is incredibly important for young defensemen. Shutdown or otherwise. |

Not his skating. There are ways to still be a top Dman and not be a fast skater. Pronger was exactly that. It was too early for him to be in the pros. |

He's aa pretty good dman. Problem is he has no help and is expected to do everything.
Getting Babcock and trading Kessel should improve the defence of the whole team though. The Leafs will no longer be playing shorthanded whenever he's on the ice. |

Leafs saw that he wasn't evolving into the player they thought he would, which is why they flipped him for JVR. Great trade for the Leafs. |
