The Monster might have been the worst goalie I've ever seen in a Leafs uniform. There is some very stiff competition, but he's a finalist for sure. - 1979AD
oh come on now...
no one... and I mean no one approaches Raycroft.
the fact that he got as many wins in a season was a testament to the capability of the team in front of him... not him.
that guy looked and acted like the drunk scrub goalie you pick up at the rink when your men's league team goalie decides he's not coming to the rink on any given night.. or has decided he doesn't want to play on a given day.
even Toskala was better than Raycroft... and the teams he played behind were far worse.
god... I hated Raycroft.
my then young son actually watched Raycroft fall fully asleep at a game in San Jose where he was backing up. |

Some beers are indeed better when they're not overly cold.
Newcastle comes to mind. |

in high school we always drank Canadian, for 1 reason, and 1 reason only. well ok 2 reasons...
1. we were 16 and didn't know any (frank)ing better
2. of the few beers we had tried, it tasted the best warm |

Agreed. This applies to almost all the low carbonation English pub style ales. Just a little bit colder than the room is perfect. |

I'm sure you are quite a bit younger than I... and this was true back in the 70s as well... with the added challenge that almost every beer made by Molson's tasted the same (because they were)... every beer from Labatt's tasted the same (because they were)... and even the Carling stuff (yes I'm that old) was mostly identical. We youngin's back then did NOT have a lot of choices ... even if the labels were different.
