I like Kadri. But very few players reach the PPG plateau.
I just don't think he's in the same category as Tavares, Crosby, Malkin or Ovechkin... - Pecafan Fan

I'm calling Matthias as my "pleasant surprise" guy this year.
I've floated this idea in the past, so I may as well do it again.
I share my Leafs tickets with my brothers, and I used to always require them to fill out a questionaire. Predicted points by the Leafs, major trophy winners, Stanley Cup winners and finalists. You had to make a comment on each guy (whatever you wanted to say). And then there were questions like: biggest surprise, biggest disappointment, etc.
And one final question: If you remember nothing else, remember I said this about the Leafs: __________________

So here's my idea: I'll create a template. Everyone makes their predictions. We then get the IT wizards of Hockeybuzz to then move all the predictions to a new thread (I guess in the Leafs section?) and lock it, so nobody can change their predictions.
Predictions that will inevitably come back to haunt you (I once predicted that Mark Bell would be the reason the Leafs won the Toskala trade).
Whadda ya say?
Mods: is this possible? - Atomic Wedgie
We can do that in the Leafs misc threads, set an end date for predictions and I will lock it.

I don't bother with posting lines, 1) it's depressing and 2) I have no idea who is a match on a line with this group. - LeafMan
Meh, it's somewhat interesting....gives us something else to talk about and poop on.
Oh, something else I thought about regarding the trade yesterday....and I'm not saying this was the case, but....
You know how Babcock preached about having good people and quality humans in the organization, etc? Maybe a couple of these guys were just douches.....who knows?

Very possible but doubtful. It's a theory all the same.
25 grabner if healthy, for sure...a couple shorty's to boot. - Lucas.Neilson
Maybe...but I anticipate lesser goals scored this year with more emphasis placed on defense. I would LOVE to see some Calgary style game of 13-14, where they played very tight and exciting games, but still lost. One goal games, show intensity, set yourself up for next year and so on.

I don't think he's on that plateau, I consider those guys over a ppg player...I could see Kadri turning in a 80pt season...I don't think he's a super star, but he definitely does have the potential to be a 80 point player in my opinion.
