Kadri and JVR should/could be a pretty good duo.

today's practice has Kadri with Lupul and Matthias.

Kadri, I think is going to be a ppg player this season.

60-65 points this year IMO

That would be excellent but for some reason 0.89 come to mind for him this year.

I see 30 goals for Grabner, 20 goals for Parenteau.
- ThePresident

I'd say 20 and 15, respectively. If they do well.

The day Patrick Roy took him off the line of an elite centre he crumbled. Fact.

Is ThePresident trolling or he's really always like that (overly optimistic)

Tell me why Kadri can't be a ppg player? He showed during the shortened season that he is capable....just has to be given the opportunity...guy had 44 pts in 48 games, I remember when he had 2 hattricks over the course of like 2 weeks. Skill is definitely there, and Babcock will bring the best out of him. Having a coach that is that accomplished, believing in you...telling you that you're an elite player, goes a long way....especially after what the kid has had to deal with since he broke into the league.

One of them needs to be the CGI hulk to cover the net.

Come to think of it......I'm not even sure The Flash himself could stop all those pucks flying at him from every direction with our defence corps.

It is, and I personally would like to see JVR/Kadri on the same line. Hoping Babcock gives it an extended look at some point.

I like Kadri. But very few players reach the PPG plateau.
I just don't think he's in the same category as Tavares, Crosby, Malkin or Ovechkin...

I don't bother with posting lines, 1) it's depressing and 2) I have no idea who is a match on a line with this group.

I'm calling Matthias as my "pleasant surprise" guy this year.

I've floated this idea in the past, so I may as well do it again.

I share my Leafs tickets with my brothers, and I used to always require them to fill out a questionaire. Predicted points by the Leafs, major trophy winners, Stanley Cup winners and finalists. You had to make a comment on each guy (whatever you wanted to say). And then there were questions like: biggest surprise, biggest disappointment, etc.

And one final question: If you remember nothing else, remember I said this about the Leafs: __________________

So here's my idea: I'll create a template. Everyone makes their predictions. We then get the IT wizards of Hockeybuzz to then move all the predictions to a new thread (I guess in the Leafs section?) and lock it, so nobody can change their predictions.

Predictions that will inevitably come back to haunt you (I once predicted that Mark Bell would be the reason the Leafs won the Toskala trade).

Whadda ya say?

Agreed, not in this day and age. When 87pts gets you the Art Ross Trophy, anything above 0.80 PPG is very decent.

Oddly enough when the Leafs did this that was their last good season (lockout season vs Boston & we freakin iced Colton Orr, Frazer McLaren)

Spaling

Something's gonna happen...

Also probably the worst group down the middle in the league. Only contenders would be Arizona and New Jersey.

I don't remember exactly where the Leafs were sitting at the 48 games mark last season and the one before. But I'm willing to bet they weren't in the bottom 3 teams.
