I"m going to try to spin this in a positive way.

Remember when Mark Fraser would over-pursue a guy? That won't happen anymore.

Remember when Mark Fraser would leave the Leafs' d-zone too quickly? No longer have to worry about it.

If Babcock can institute a tight defensive system whereby the defencemen have to skate up together in lock-step, we could pair Mark Fraser with Gardiner, and just maybe Gardiner won't go for little skating forays into no man's land.

That's pretty funny that that rule even exists. Pretty much everything that qualifies as a "veteran" is the only thing that would be iced anyways with the exception of couple 2nd+ round picks lol.
