I was convinced the Leafs were gonna drop Reimer this summer and go after a #1 goalie, bumping Bernier back to his backup role (where I think he belongs).

From an outside perspective, the treatment reserved to Reimer by the Leafs seems absurd and unwarranted. As absurd as annointing Bernier the #1 spot after 29 games of NHL experience, as a back up goalie.

To prove that he can play better than his average/to below average previous seasons. Which is going to be very very difficulty behind the 2015-16 and 2016-17 Leafs.

bernier is going to have a very good year.. so long as the skaters implement babcock's systems well

cant say the same about reimer.. his rebound control is just way way way too brutal

you could have an all star defense and scotty bowman behind the bench and a goalie like that is going to lose you games consistently
