The problem and isn't Buffalo drivers, it's the entire nation. And it isn't just driving it is every aspect of the culture. People are selfish, self-centered and arrogant. We live in a me first society where all people care about is themselves. How often do you see someone hold open a door for a lady anymore. Or let a mother dealing with her young children cut in front of them in line at a check out. If you do see it, it is almost always a person from an older generation doing so.
The problem is that most children are spoiled silly and think they are special, furthermore children are not brought up with any respect for their elders or having any manners.
when these kids start driving, their courtesy and upbringing are more apparent to us all as they speed while staring down at their cellphones. The quality of drivers is terrible in this country, and it is directly proportional to the quality of individuals.
the problem with America is that it is filled with Americans. And in 20 years the nation will really start falling apart as the younger generations grow up and take over.

for the ladies...

its not just for a lady. its having the courtesy of not shutting the door in someones face. and i do it all the time, i often feel like a wiener because i have to just let go sometimes because my family or whoever i was walking with is about 100' away and i am still holding the door because no one will take over for me.

The woman that used to babysit me when I was a kid refused to use her blinker because she said it was nobody's f'n business where she was going.
- HonkFortheGoose

she has a point..

my grandpa would refuse to use it if no one was around because he didn't want to waste the life of the bulb

I definitely see a difference in people generationally though. And maybe it's more obvious to me because my grandfather is 96. He's a great man and very sweet, but he's very stubborn about some things.

He refuses to go through a door before I do. I'm not allowed to hold the door open for him, even though I'm really the one that should be assisting him at this point. Same with the car door. He still opens the door for me and then closes it after I'm in even though, again, it should be the other way around now.

None of my female cousins are allowed to pay for anything for him, but he'll let my male cousin or the husbands of my female cousins pay for things. It's how he was raised and it's how he's lived for 96 years. It's not going to change any time soon.

I always hold the door for people, but there are definitely people that don't seem to understand the concept and will let the door slam shut right in front of you. It's definitely interesting to see how the social aspects of life have changed over the years.

you have 1/3 the people that are normal and considerate

1/3 the people don't give a poop

1/3 the people feel an entitlement

my 2 cents

Sounds about right. We'll see what my Grandfather does when I show up at his house tomorrow with cider and donuts for him. I'm about 99% sure he'll try and give me money for them, even though I'm bringing it because I know it'll brighten up his day and he enjoys it. I really wish he'd go to an assisted living facility, because I'm afraid something is going to happen to him now that he's alone in the house but he's been in that house over 50 years. He doesn't plan on living anywhere else. That's his home and nothing we say or do is going to change that. He may be 96, but he's still completely with it mentally so it's not like we can do much anyway.

you have 1/3 the people that are normal and considerate - mostly over 50

1/3 the people don't give a poop - mostly 30 - 50

1/3 the people feel an entitlement - under 30

these are the people that tend fill these categories.. but the rule but just an observation..

it is very regional too.. i know people that have moved to the area i live and they tell us how everyone in this area is so polite.. i still feel like there is room for improvement but i notice the people here are better than most areas i go to.. probably because it still has the small town feel to it

"All he did was forget to use his blinker man"
- washedup20

All he did was have a few drinks, sorry your kid is dead.
all he did was drive while so exhausted he fell asleep behind the wheel, sorry your kid is dead.
all he did was speed a few miles an hour over the speed limit, sorry your kid is dead.
all he did was speed up to try to make the light before it turned red, sorry your kid is dead.
all he did was make an unsafe lane change, sorry your kid is dead.
all he did was enter the expressway driving head on into traffic, sorry your kid is dead.
all he did was peek at his phone for a few seconds, sorry your kid is dead.
is there a law that says you have to use your turn signals? Is there a law tha says not to speed?
To justify it in this way, saying all he did was forget to do what he is legally obliged to do, shows that you are part of the problem.

I'm going on Saturday. I fully expect that our prospects should do much better than both NJ and BOS. But, you never know.

Why do I feel like this is a lecture and way more excessive than it needs to be on here?

I know we get off topic and whatnot, but this is a bit much.

I still open doors for women/ladies. Even open the door for my girl on the truck and help her in.

I think we have a nice mix of guys. McCabe has been around awhile. Baptiste and Bailey have participated in the Traverse City tournament in the past. So I guess we'll see.

Not gonna lie, I'm just really pumped to be able to watch some hockey this weekend.

I haven't looked anywhere specifically, but off the top of my head, I think they're pretty close to the bottom of the barrel. Doesn't help that all 3 of the Bruins first round picks this year failed their conditioning tests yesterday.
