Last year Hornqvist was dynamite on Crosby's wing. Then they decided to switch things up. I think Hornqvist back with Crosby, and Kessel with Malkin is the way to go. I also think Kessel will get 44 goals and 82 points. Crosby, if healthy will lead the league with 100 or so points.

Last year's drop in scoring was just an anomaly imo. Well, I mean, the only thing different from last season and the year before was Crosby wasn't at 100 points. 86-87 points was roughly the same number for the next best scorer.

A lot of guys got hurt last year too.

Will be interested to see where McDavid lines up in league scoring.

Kessel was scoring at an 80 point pace right up until Carlyle got canned.

I have a feeling the young talent coming out of junior these days will start the reversal of this trend. They have grown and been developed in a time where goalies are bigger, faster and much better positioning, and defensive systems are taught and implemented from atom and pee wee on up. I think the young up and coming stars like McDavid have been conditioned to think and process the game at much higher pace then previous generations, and will start filling the nets again.
