Is Max really that thick?

(frank) sakes, The bet is: he will not play beyond the 9 game limit per season in either of the next two seasons.

It's not (frank)ing rocket science

thank you.. i was starting to wonder if i was insane

i have taken this stance all along

yeah after looking at the rules, I don't think he is even eligible to suit up for the Marlies until the 17-18 season. I thought maybe they could send him there after Jan 1st 2017, but don't think that is the case. So pretty sure the only way he makes pro, is by going directly to the Leafs this or next year.
- vermie22

Thats what I understood. Leafs or Juniors.

Very much doubt we see more than 9 games per, until 2017.

Again, I'll take that bet.

I'm 50-50 about him being on Leafs this season (becoming less probably with the invites on PTO) but 95-5 on him being part of team next season (2016-2017) meaning 10+ games on Leafs.

he will be a knight this year and next

and yes.. the tryout games do not count towards being a pro

thats it, thats all.

ok so we agree on the bet then (i misread your post before; thought you meant to say that he would be pro in both seasons; i reread and my mistake there).

Basically I say Marner will be a full-time Leaf (10+ games in one season) before 2017-2018 season. You say he will stay at London until then (with the exepction of possible max 9 games before being sent back).

London-London you win
London-Leafs I win
Leafs-Leafs I win

how much do you want to bet on that?

exactly

he's either NHL or OHL in the next two years.. AHL is not an option

not to mention if he does suit up for the leafs he is behind kadri, holland, and bozak on the depth chart

He probably is not going to amount to much, so not really relevant.

Wouldn't they just be burning an ELC year in that case? Where it's allowed, but not a smart move?
