I think Leddy and Boychuk are both good, solid defensemen, but my god are they getting over hyped.

They look as good as they do because of the great forward depth they have in front of them.

It reminds me of the 05-07 Sabres where Henrik Tallinder looked like a #1

I find it incredibly hard to believe that Stan Bowman decided to let a superstar defensmen basically walk, instead of letting Oduya or Hjalmarsson go.

Not to mention the Hawks went ahead and won the cup anyways without Leddy.

Well that sums it up. They won a cup so theres no wrong you can find it really youre right but Leddy is a 24 yr old legitimate first pairing defenseman they dont exactly grow on trees. No hes not better than Weber they're completely different players but Leddy has a very real shot of being just as much of an impact player.

Kid is 24 and has the poise of someone who has been in the league a very long time. One of the best skaters ive seen in my life his transition game was pretty much flawless. He wasnt given a chance on the hawks but believe me if Bowman saw the leddy we saw last season he wouldnt have been traded. I think youre really simplifying why everything turned out the way it did and why he was moved. Like ive said in a couple posts this year will be the season that people start paying attention to how good of a player he is. No he's not in that elite group yet in most peoples eyes but if he repeats what he did with us last season it wont be considered crazy talk.

To puy staal anywhere near leddy is to put Bozak near Ovechkin

Hjarlmarsson does not have good possession #'s, Oduys as well suffers on possession #'s. Wanna know why?
Because they are the shutdown pairing that every successful team has. They are not pretty #'s wise. According to advanced stats, David "frickin" Runblad has better possession #'s. How you say is this possible? Take a look at zone starts(both "O" and "D") But "not that big a deal" says Mr. Tanner. Who calls me out in a blog then doesn't bother to reply to my posts.
