All you Bolts fans who don't live in Florida go check out the Lightning's website as they have one of Fox's Sun Sports Inside the Lightning shows up and streaming. Its about Palat and Johnson's friendship. Worth a watch to those who haven't seen it, these are the shows they show during the week and normally after the games on Sun Sports.

That roster is a bubble playoff team.

What do you need flexibility for? To use the cap space to overpay for a guy in free agency that will be half the player that Stamkos is?

- rangerdanger94

Not sure how that's a playoff bubble team but ok.

No, we can't rid ourselves of Carle, I'm talking about Filppula and Killorn.
- Artyukhin76

As I have stated numerous times before, Carle can and will be moved. The return will be nothing but the value of the return lies in his cap hit. If you seriously think he "can't" be moved then by all means explain why Edm acquired Purcell, Phx acquired Pronger, and Tor acquired Horton. All were salary dumps for a multitude of reasons but somehow Yzerman won't be able to swing a deal for Carle?

If they pull a Brewer and don't play him, I guarantee Carle will waive his no move clause and on top of that he is good enough a team who needs a D due to injury would scoop him up for a 6th or 7th. This is my hope anyway...

And losing Stamkos is a big blow to this team, they have to resign him if he wants to stay. Deal with the consequences on the other guys later but I still feel they can resign most of their core guys including the triplets and Hedman.

It's not a NMC. It is a limited NTC. The details of which are unknown in that we don't know if he submits a list of teams he would approve or a list of teams he would not approve

i think they can trade carle if not they buy him out if they need the space that badly.
- todd1a

He will get traded. If Purcell could be moved then a 4-6 d-man with less than 2 years left on his deal can be moved as well. The return won't be anything but this idea that he "can't" be moved is hogwash
