Why ? We are paying coburn -4.5 ohlund-3.6 garrison-4.6 and carle 5.5 and flipper 5. All those guys gone takes care of the triplets and stamkos! Killorn gets traded for picks enter Erne. Koekkoek and Anthony d come up to replace carle and coburn and garrison. Can also trade bishop after next year for prospects and picks if we want to give vasy the job. Yzerman will find a wAy to reload.

Stammer should be signed and will be unless he absolutely wants to go to Toronto. Money shouldnt be an issue.

Filppula is deff not unmoveable, for 5 mil he is absolutely worthy his cap. Carle is a tougher pill but package him with Killorn and it is possible.

Stamkos had a down year coming back from an injury. He has been a fan favorit since he was drafted. Yzerman wont let both MSL and stamkos leave within 2 years.

If the situation is really that tight against the cap (which I don't believe it is or will be), are you saying that you'd keep Filppula and Carle on the books over Stamkos? They go and his extension is paid for. Shipping out Stamkos sets this team back, not forward.

If they pull a Brewer and don't play him, I guarantee Carle will waive his no move clause and on top of that he is good enough a team who needs a D due to injury would scoop him up for a 6th or 7th. This is my hope anyway...

Agreed on all fronts. Garrison had an NTC --- when Vancouver said they didn't want him, all of a sudden leaving home wasn't such an unappealing option. Most guys won't want to be in a situation where they aren't wanted.
