I hear you. Mariners are struggling and I am not a Jays fan but I will watch them if they make the post season.

Ya lol

Raise your hands if you never wanna hear the names kassian, bonino, Torterella, gillis, nonis, burke, booth, ballard, hodgson, messier, bieksa, kesler ever again. And as for current canucks sutter, sbisa, prust benning and higgins not till awhile after the season starts.

Given all the over amounts of chatter about these players im surprised more wasnt said about bartkowski. Perhaps people were happy with it or had no input?

theres also who could be available for canucks on ufa list. Still think franson is our guy but we'd have to clear salary even if coming cheap.

Where's VanHockeyGuy? He was always worried about the Canucks' presence in National media. Also, I think I just figured out who Nucker is in real life.

I don't get all the hate for things being done. I understand the bad taste for Sbisa signing . I won't touch the Miller contract .

Every move can not be a home run. Since JB has come in he has added some nice pieces that seem ready or close to ready.

I know Bo is a MG add, but Benning put him immediately into the mix. He also found JV Boeser McCann who are a year or two away. I am sure Sven will find his way into the NHL .

Sutter is a 20 goal player last year and Canucks need to find him good linemates to repeat. Sutter would have been one of the most sought after UFAs next year and Benning beat the rush and paid him a very fair raise from what was paid by the Pens as he enters his prime.

We are getting younger and this time around we are putting top 6 players in to fill the spots and not using bottom 6 players to fill the roles like the previous regime did.

People feeding off of the media hysteria. Pretty hard to judge until games are played.

I don't have hate for the decisions made in this off-season, but I do question the motivation. There doesn't seem to be a consistent plan, and I pin that on ownership rather than JB. It seems the directive is to make the playoffs at all costs, while attempting to rebuild the cupboard at the same time. It seems pretty flawed, with some of the decisions seemingly compromising a true rebuilding process. I hate to say it but this reminds me a lot of the Leafs approach in the past 10 seasons or so. They've obviously taken a different approach this season.

Yeah .

I am sure if we find two decent wingers for Sutter we will be quite happy with him. If we put two plugs with him we will see the second coming of Matthias.

A guy like Virtanen could help Sutter and vise versa.

A lot of if's which is why I'm hesitant to condemn anyone............. yet.
Just let them play. Then we can go ape-sh*t if necessary.

If you look at the Sutter move JB did the right thing by bringing in a buffer for Bo. No need to put pressure on a 20 year old kid to be the next one on this team.

Most top UFA centres next year will be re-signed by their current teams. So who would have been available to step in as second line centre? I think looking at the list JB made the right choice.

This top 6 needed a huge improvement when he took over. He added Sutter Sven JV and Vrbata . That is a big improvement over Kassian Burrows Higgins Hansen and Bonino.

I think they are making improvements but it will take 3 years to enjoy it. You won't see the rewards this year , I don't think.

Add fuel to the fire.

I think Canucks will have a slow start , and nay Sayers will be ripping JB . They will adjust the roster by moving players up ,and moving players out.

I think after TDL the roster looks very different

Probably even more . Take a look at the RHF spots

Vrbata Burrows JV Hansen Dorsett Grenier Vey pick 4

Boeser is another RHF so in two years another one to go.

LHF Daniel Sven Higgins Prust Kenins Burrows Gaunce . Pick 4

Centre Hank Sutter Bo McCan Vey Cassels . Pick 4

Did Boeser get 2 hat tricks in this Summer showcase or whatever they call it? Should we be excited about this pick?

Who has info on him? Is he just a shot, or does he play with skill and speed? Is he gritty? Anyone have the 411?
