By not banning you, we feel like we have done our duty today to acknowlegde and support those difficulties faced by those suffering from the disabling impacts of mental health issues.

Good luck, we are praying for you

We're simply discussing the most recent move, what's tiring is that the majority of trades and signings appear to favour the opposing team(value-wise). If it was even a 50-50 sort of thing where every 2nd move looks like a good one and makes sense methodically then the "whining" would be more spread out and less tiring.

I'm of the opinion now that any move by Benning will be questioned by the Media and fans who know nothing of building an NHL team or what is said between ownership and management.

That's part of the reason, even when the team was good, there were always trolls that felt a need to bash the team, and in some (many) instances, we had our own trolls doing the same back.

Personally I think Carol blows JJ away in writing, and well managed is relative. Chicago sucked for many many years to acquire the talent they have today, Edmonton is on the same track, they're finally getting better management and coaching. A few more additions on D and goal, look out...then what, do we proclaim it was good management to suck for a decade, draft exceptionally well, bring in more experienced management and coaching.

And JJ's blogs were monitored...any perceived trolling was dealt with right away, wonder how many bans were given to dshiddy in there.

- Makita

I agree that the CHI blogs are more well monitored these days, but back during the VAN-CHI rivalry, it was open season in there.

I like Carol, she walks the fine line of not upsetting the Canuck fans by being too critical or controversial with her opinions about the moves they make and just provides the info on the latest news. I do tend to prefer the writers who have strong opinions though, JJ is one of them and he does back up his opinions pretty well in most cases.

Agreed, but that's what these public message boards are for. Otherwise every post should just be "let's wait and see how this plays out before it becomes so painfully obvious that we can finally feel comfortable sharing an opinion that won't hurt anyone's feelings".

There have and will likely continue to be many GM's who do a poor job of managing NHL teams. Benning could easily find himself on that list by the time he's done here. I really never understand this argument since there are people out there who actually do a greta job of breaking down moves NHL teams make and are right more often than not with their predictions.

I probably should have worded that better. Writers with strong opinions that support their stance with a strong argument and not just Corsi or whoever scored more goals last year.

True, but I also see the neutrality in her writing, it seems to me that she actually reads the posts, and instead of making a personally stance she will pose the blog accordingly. She makes mention of the uncertainty of fans interpretation of moves and will try give a balanced objective view.

Strong opinions are biased, non-objective personal views, and when anyone disagrees it seems JJ can be an AAA...arrogant, aggresive, a$$hole

Edler is still a Question mark for me.

Really? I thought we all know what we are getting. You've seen him at his worst and you've seen him at his best. That's what you're going to get. An inconsistent veteran dman.

Absolutely.

I get all warm & fuzzy when the trolls bring us together for a big group hug until, of course, the 'airing of grievences'.

You have been labelled. There is no escaping it. The label will stick until you exercise those demons. It's an internet thing.

Good luck with that.

So you got JB who seems to assess talent well....but sucks with contracts. And we are not sure yet on trades....some good some questionable.

Then you get gillis who was terrific with getting players to sign for less.... although he handed out those ntc. Not the greatest at assessing talent though. I do think gillis was good at knowing what type of player we needed .but. Questionable trades.

Nonis.....sucked pretty bad but he is actually good at 1 thing. Assessing goalies. He made 2 goalie moves here, their names are luongo and schneider. He stablized the situation in TO w bernier too.

Seems like gms shine in 1 area.....so make a department for each. 1 manager for trades, 1 for draft, 1 for contracts. No ones good at it all except for maybe ken holland. Bonus is you only need to fire the guy thats sucking in his area. Keep the guys still performing well. Seems teams fire a gm then have kaos and upheaval till the new guy comes in.....breaking it upmlike that prevents it.

And ufa decisions by committee.

I have loads of grievances. Nothing to do with hockey or the club I support.

My newest one is when people immediately stop and look around at the top of escalators. What the (frank) are those people thinking? If they moved five feet away and then looked around to get their bearings there would be no issue.

Today I literally ran over an old asian lady trying to get off the escalator.

I remember this guy arguing that it was OK to hog the left lane as long as he was going the speed limit. The bartender cut him off.

There's an abandoned house at like 49th and Knight that people have started using as a garbage dump. It's crazy. I drove by it today and it's completly full of old furniture, old food, garbage bags spilling out onto the street. It's been two months and the neighbours have complained to the city, who complained to the owners, who complained to the city. Meanwhile, every night more people are coming and dropping their shlt off.

Literally everything about this story offends me.

I wonder what he thinks of all the signs that are all over the highways now telling to to only use the left to pass.

I thought of that guy as soon as the police said they were going to target left lane bandits.
