Sutter = Overpaid decent 3rd liner
Beartschi = Young player with 2nd line upside
Sbisa = Horrible player with a mind-boggling contract
Prust = Overpaid 4th liner
Miller = Average starter at best, overpaid
Dorsett = Overpaid by about 500K, but basically an ideal 4th liner despite size
Bartowski = 6/7 dman, contract is OK
Vey = Looked like a poor man's Raymond, doubt they could recoup the pick they gave up for him. Hopefully he improves.

Its official Benning is a GM who needs to understand market value better and stop paying a premium for role players and prospects he covets while selling his own pieces for returns that are at market value or lower.

It's a horrible system, he's literally just using goalie sv%'s from the past 3 years and assuming that team systems have zero influence and some guys will improve/decline based on age.

Hi, Jim.

It's a horrible graph, he's assuming Talbot will be just as good playing behind the Oilers. He's also likely using Markstrom's career NHL numbers despite common belief that his talent level is way above those numbers.

I think Sutter has a lot to prove, but I'm not worried about him or whatever line he or Horvat is centring. Vey is a big question mark at centre. Wouldn't be surprised to see Horvat or Sutter taking face offs with Vey's wingers and then Vey coming on after if Vey struggles in the circle.

Wondering if our defence can generate more offense next season?

I look at that lineup and I wonder what it can do? I do like Prust and Dorsett in the bottom 6.

As has been mentioned on here, Vey may be more suited to the wing, regardless, I think he needs to play regularly to develop and am happy to see him at least be included in these proposed lineups.
