I know Hank sure as hell ain't a shoot first centre . Never thought Bo was one. I see Bo as an all around guy. I have no idea who our fourth line centre is this year.

I don't have enough proof to confirm or deny

- VANTEL

Bo is shoot first for sure.
Hank isn't but he is a hold over from the last regime.

Kesler had a stronger two-way game so he was still very valuable as a center despite his faults. I'd argue that it was easier to score goals with him as your center than Sutter.
- Nucker101

He sure had some productive wingers here

Bo is a Gillis guy. Haven't seen enough evidence to say JB prefers shoot first centre

Does it not appear JB prefers shoot first centers?
- Bieksa#3

What he wants in a forward is speed and a good shot.

Hard to tell what he truly values in a defender since he hasn't spent a high asset, money or pick on one yet outside of Sbisa.

Have u ever heard Benning talk horvat? Benning would allow horvat to marry his daughter without question. He probably raves more about horvat then any other player in our system. And has since the day he got here.

These days , when Benning speaks publicly he usually spends 3/4 of his time defending something he did this week

I think Benning picked up next year's best UFA centre before he hit the market. I don't see Stamkos Kopitar or Backes ever reaching FRee Agency. I think all the top centres will have contracts next year before July 1
- VANTEL

But the Leafers say he is going to play for them.

You need to watch Biega more. Meat and potatoes defender. And Corrado is more of a Tanev. Clendenning has far superior offensive skill
- Bieksa#3

But wasn't very good in the playoffs.

I think Sutter will surprise people but not this year. I don't see him being successful with Higgins Vrbata. I think next year when they have cap space to bring in a young tough second line player is when he will shine.
- VANTEL

I think we will gaily see Higgins fall off that 2nd line this season. His hands are clearly not there anymore.

Everyone knows that any player that becomes an UFA , their first choice is to become a Leaf. It is unfortunate that their is only 23 spots available for these players and I think in the next CBA Bettman should have a TML clause , that would allow 35 lucky players every year the chance to wear that uniform.

Yes Biega was their best D imo. I watched almost every game and Clendening had some shining moments but nothing I would say put him in the line up. Benning took a chance on him and it did''t work out at least he is able to move on from his mistakes.

We are getting younger and this time around we are putting top 6 players in to fill the spots and not using bottom 6 players to fill the roles like the previous regime did.

- VANTEL

did you forget you paid a bottom 6 player Sutter 4M+ to be your 2nd line C?

Agreed. I thought Saguinetti was the Comets best dman overall though. Corrado looked better than Clendening in the AHL yet in the NHL I thought Clendening looked better. Just goes to show that it's hard to evaluate a player solely off of just watching them 5 or 6 times.

Corrsdo's development has slowed down the past 2 years, he looked really promising during the year the Sharks swept us.

If you go back and read the comments, there were more than a couple of people who thought it was an overpayment.

Like the leafs did to Bozak? Glass houses pal.

Why don't you come back and tell us how to run a team after your team can go 2 years in a row not finishing bottom 10.
