I wonder what his actual chances are of making the show this year. Prior to the summer starting I was thinking a cup of coffee and then back in the lower leagues. Now that he's been lighting it up I'm not so sure.

Not an obsession at all. I think he is a decent player only. A good third liner. It is Benning who thinks he's the second liner. I watched Bonino all last year so this is a definite upgrade.

All the female digging from April until now is based on how those of us sitting on the couch and playing with stats assess players. I think the current regime would have been better off not making the playoffs this past year and then everyone would have said that it was due to old core and Gillis leaving the cupboard bare.

Mediocre deal for a mediocre player. 4.3m is quite a bit to pay a 3rd line center, which will happen if not this season, certainly by the next. Then again, look what our 4th liners are earning.

Benning might be doing ok with not handing out NTCs but what Benning does well in one respect he fails to impress in the other.
