Good question. He'd be back to skating already if they'd have done the procedure after the season.

Bizarre.

The only conspiracy theory I can throw at it would be that Jori was keeping quiet about the injury until he got his deal done.

Probably more likely that the team doctors thought there was a chance it would heal on it's own?

Per something i read the team bought it wouId heap on its own and not need surgery. It did not bother him on any off ice training or his daiIy routine. Just started bothering him again, when he resumed skating in finIand. Then they decided on surgery to repair it. I wiII try to find the Iink and post it.

well stated article.

i think my pops knows the lawyer.

as for jori that hit about thinking it would heal on its own was in the p-d yesterday. it is bizarre and stupid but therefore not surprising from the management. i do not know why you mess with ankles in hockey.

I'll offer my explanation.

Elliot's been tremendous in a two goalie system. His numbers speak for themselves. He's among the all-time franchise greats if you only look at his numbers.

When he's been called upon to take the reigns, either by injury or the coach has felt like he's finally earned the job, and been given the job as the clear cut #1 guy - his game goes to pieces.

If you watch the Blues regularly, it's clear as can be.

He's a very good 1b goalie. As long as he's satisfied with that, I'm fine with him sticking around. I don't agree with anyone that feels like he should be given a shot to be a #1 guy.

He's been here now long enough that he is what is he is.

You just described another goalie: Cristobal Huet. Great in a two-man rotation, with the right coach in Montreal especially, and his first year in Chicago. When given the number one load . . . . pffffffft.

They can't risk a bad outcome and him still being on the cover.

Have you heard any of the bad kane jokes yet? Ugh.

yeah JJ i enjoy reading your blog but now mostly stay out of the comments because of the stupid stuff.

Except your last blog man. I know you were being smart but all the same i just do not understand down playng an alleged rape. too often in this society a rich athelete guy is alleged to have raped a woman and people assume she is gold digging.

surely nhl players have been explained the concept of alcohol and women being involved is not a good thing.

this in si is how it should be, "And while this type of information is certain to color public perception, or at least reinforce currently held beliefs, it’s worth remembering that this is all just background. That’s not to say it isn’t instructive, but it doesn’t reveal anything about what actually happened later that night.

At this point, all we really know is that Kane has yet to be charged with any crime, and the woman involved deserves to have her allegations taken seriously and respectfully. "

I disagree Guru I think JJ has done a fair job of being impartial

Comments section is a different story

I just hope the Hawks do the right thing if this proves true

All of my hawks fan friends say he is gone

He could be gone no matter what
