Maybe the BIues can get a top 10 pick next draft, heck they might be abIe to draft Matthew Tkachuk. He is a potential top 5 next draft, so they are saying

Does anybody know of any station or website streaming the World Juniors Summer Showcase? It would be nice to watch Fabbri in these 3 remaining games to hold me over till preseason.

That would be a phenomenal name for the kid.

On a side note, another Pat Kane controversy

What if........Fabrie, Rattie & Paajaarvi play out of this world and earn a spot on the roster? Who gets traded, sent to ahl?
I would put Ott & Berglund in the press box and play the kids as much as possible so they can gain nhl experience.
Im bored and in desperate need for hockey.

I have a hard time believing that they are going to trade anyone because a couple of prospects have a good camp.

Magnus is going to get another shot and likely be at least an extra out of training camp (unless he just has a terrible camp)

They are not going to just sit Berglund in the press box either. He is a good complimentary player. When will people start looking at him for what he is, a 3rd line player. He is pretty much what you want from a 3rd line winger/center.

I don't think any of these guys do much good at all on the 4th line, so Ott's spot is not in question. They would have to be better, and convince Army & Hitch that they will consistently be better, before they just take a spot on the top 9.

Steen-Stastny-Backes
Schwartz-Lehtera-Tarasenko
Jaskin-Berglund-Brouwer

Of those 9, Berglund, Backes, & Brouwer (especially with Backes/Brouwer becoming an UFA at the end of the year) would be candidates for a trade at the deadline if any of these young guys prove they belong in the top 9.

Will likely take an injury or two for them to get a real shot at proving that they belong though.

Couldn't agree more

Now if you get an offer for someone that you just cant turn down I think you could see someone moved but other than that this tis the team we are starting the season with

Fabbri and Rattie in Chicago and MPS in the press box

If the allegations prove true, and how does the NHL deal with any probablity of such a situation after the manner they dealt with LA's wife beater? So if any evidence and charges are made the NHL's precedent is to assume the worst and put the team in cap hell for a long period of time.

That is a pretty serious allegation. Rape is one of the hardest things to prove. If alcohol is involved that seems to be even more difficult.

Kane article

"The Chicago Blackhawks released a statement saying, "We are aware of the matter and are in the process of fathering information. It would be inappropriate to comment further at this time.""

Someone needs to tell them to fix that Freudian slip

Voynov, Kane, O'ReiIIy, Doughty, the nhI seems to be heading towards the NFI or NBA with its pIayers getting into trouble. Damn primmadonnas. Enforce a code of ethics amongst the teams and pIayers and set a precedent. Start banning guys from the Ieague.

Drunken driving is bad enough. Rape aIIegations and beating your wife is a huge step up. Hurt these pIayers and the teams if they are proven guilty. enough is enough

He better hope he doesn't end up down at the Buffalo correctional facility. I don't exactly see him thriving in that environment.

rape is a terrible thing. i just hope he did not do it because then such an act did not take place. if he did not do it and just treated a woman poorly then hopefully he will have learned part of a lesson.

the nhl either way ought to give him mandatory lessons of treating women as human beings and not objects, because on some level he at least committed that act.

Lehtera just had surgery on his ankle last week.

Will be 6-8 weeks before he starts skating again. I wonder why they waited so long before doing the surgery as it was from the playoffs apparently.

Good question. He'd be back to skating already if they'd have done the procedure after the season.

Bizarre.
