I think he figures that he will get way more ice time with the Leafs, and there is a good chance he will still find himself on a contender come march. - vermie22
He signed for 2 years...I am wondering if they told him he would stick around this season and not be dealt.. Until the next deadline 2017 |

IS Franson still out of work? Bad connection in my cabin Nonis would have signed him to a 6.5 mill pr 7 year bulletproof no trade contract |

Sort of makes sense, figure some roster spots will be open after the TD for a few Marlies to come up for a taste. Then if he is still around, he will be a great example of work ethic and dedication, the whole good person and accountability stuff both Shannah and Babcock have been repeating in every interview. |

Kessel wins the Norris if he converts himself to D...he'd already be better defensively then #51. |

Babcock will either figure him out or ship him to the Marlies or Edmonton for McDavid...1 of the 3 |

slow afoot, soft despite his size and a defensive liability.
While the first critique may well be true, thanks to the emergence of analytical measures, we can prove that the others simply are not.
Of course they do! |

Oh, hard to translate that since there was no mention of Nonis in your original post.

He's a great defenseman. Can't understand the typical Leaf hate. McCabe boo'ed out of town and was solid in FLA.

You can't use Corsi with Franson, it's just not allowed...but you can if you really like the player.
