Ugh.........and then whining and conspiracy to murder charges would be heard from the highest mountain tops.
If he were to end Subbans career the Canadians would probably declare war against the United States...........
And since we are Boston fans we would therefore commence "operation human shield." - JIwasinskiJr

Did they ever find that sniper that shoot Subban? Thank goodness the bullet must have hit padding.
Imagine if it didn't though? Ugh.......Subban could have been seriously hurt if not killed because of it! |

...and now to interrupt our regularly scheduled Bruins doomsaying and Hamilton candlelight vigils. This highlight video has increased my interest in Jake DeBrusk. Lot's of potential with this kid:

Wow. Slow. bad hands. Sweeney has no idea what he's doing. Might as well move the team to Seattle. - glove_was_stuck
Yep, cant see a future. Lets be the first original six team to relocate.
My vote is vegas though. At least then it will be easier for me to blow all my money on booze and strippers. |

Watching that video feels like watching a Loui Ericksson highlight reel. When we got him from Dallas the videos I saw and with how Loui scores his goals here in Boston, same thing.
Same kind of goal scorer...........wonder if that's a buzz kill for the Loui is overrated group?
Dirty goals with a little finesse........not a sniper type. (I saw the short side under the crossbar goals, but those may not be as easy in the NHL......goalies don't go down so easy.)
But I like Loui's style so he looks promising.
EDIT: Is he known as a two-way? Was out there when the other team pulled there goalie on a few occasions, so I would assume he would be. |

Maybe. Will be nice to see him play out his ELC and then trade him to some west coast team.

Screw it........why not to the Leafs or the Habs?
Time to get ballsy!
We should sign Ericksson to $7 million per for six years and trade away this kid!

He honestly reminds me of Corey Perry the way he scores. Puck on a string, picking corners just outside the crease. Hopefully he gets a lttle bigger, I've liked this pick since day 1.
And yeah, one of the things they specifically mentioned when he was drafted is that he's strong on the boards and plays a pretty gritty 200 ft game |

I know you're (mostly) kidding but I do believe that under Sweeney, Claudes gonna get canned and they'll change up their style before they trade another kid for "bruin type" players |

Just being a pessimist. Seems to be a common theme. And honestly, I dont believe it is solely Claudes fault for why young players dont want to stick around. We will draft, and if they dont fit Neely's 'big, bad and tough to play against' style, they will get traded.
History tends to repeat itself. That isnt likely to change soon. |

Back in Dallas Loui was slotted with a dynamic playmaking center in Richards. No offense to Bergeron but that has yet to happen in Boston.

But Loui has still managed to score goals here, even if it's not at the same pace. He dosent need a "playmaker" to score.
It's the "dirty goal" mindset that makes the difference between a player like Loui and Lucic..........the "nose" for the lose pucks and the pitbull tenacity to get to it and finish.
I wish Lucic had that nose because he would score 35 plus goals a year every year, especially with his size and regardless of his center.
-------------
Side note. The weakness of our D-core throughout the season will correlate directly with the point production of our top players, and more then most teams because out "top players" are so strong as two way players.
In other word, if we suck on the backend, then Bergy, Marchand, Krejci and Ericksson are going to have bad point numbers AGAIN.
It may seem silly to state, but Crosby, Stamkoes, OVI, Tavarse, etc. are always going to put up points regardless of the D-men sucking..........but with two-way guys like on our team, it is a greater drop off.
Just something to watch. |
