Kid is a dirt merchant until he proves otherwise. New team, fresh start. Let's see what he does. |

Yes and that I too would like to make the trip. I try to get to at least 1 different arena every season. This year nothing glamorous but will be hitting Detroit and Columbus. |

I'm willing to give the guy a shot. Supposedly he's a very fast skater so if he can develop into anything close to Thornton with wheels I'd be happy. |

Love waking up on (what looks to be) a nice February day. Not a cloud in the sky. Step outside onto the deck and the wind blows a nipple-tightening -50 breeze your way. All men essentially obtain ovaries in the winter.
But we have cheap alcohol! |

Yes I have. I find Whyte ave still better. They are pretty spiffy tho.

oh not going anywhere. was just asking as it happened to cross my mind. it seems that calgary is a nicer city and edmonton more gritty. from i've heard anyway.
i've always wanted to do an edmonton-calgary trip when the bruins are out there but i get the feeling february isn't the best time of year to be out there. - Fountain-San
That is pretty accurate. Edmonton is more blue collar and Calgary more white collar.
Feb is pretty cold. Not much snow usually tho. Gives a good reason to stay inside and drink beer.

I go to Edmonton ofteb for work but I dont see Whyte ave being anything special, its exactly the same as 17th ave in Calgary. Its equal parts of meat heads w/ their tap out shirts and white sunglasses looking to do shots and hit on chicks or young university students who dont know any better, what good food and drinks are so they just stumble around.
So if you dont fall into that category you get annoyed really quickly being there |

I wonder if dayman eats a sammich after he fights the nightman? The song is stuck in my head and I keep laughing for no reason. People are looking at me like I'm nuts! |

Clode: "So, Rinaldo is a fast skater.........? You're playing with Bergy!"
If he have miss the net on a breakaway he will be the perfect Paillie replacement!
----------------
Serious question. How does anyone think that Krug can be a solid "top three" or even "top four" D-man?
Everyone's top two choices for the spot next to Chara is Trotman and Krug.
Trotman and Krug were the two most sheltered D-men on the Bruins last season.
They ONLY went on the ice when the puck was in the O-zone and they played mostly third and fourth liners?
With that said, Trotman has a better shot than Krug.............news flash: Krug is 5'9"!
If you b**ched and whined about Hamilton not being physical enough then you will hate Krug back there against the Crosbys, Tavareses, Malikins, E. Kanes, etc. of the world. |

Its Always Sunny? Love that show, but I've never actually watched the full seasons... I'll just catch an episode or two when they're on... But I seem to remember that episode vaguely |

Chara Franson
Seidenberg Krug
Irwin McQuaid
Thats a respectable core, and if injuries hit you at least have the young depth to step in to help out immediately in Miller, Trotman, and Morrow - DDM-Coga
Irwin likely a spare part playing the job of 7th Defensemen. You could see trotman with seids and krug could either fall back to 3rd pairing or be moved up for a bit to see how he handles it. Wishful thinking would either drop Chara to 2nd pair or spread the minutes out a little more over all three pairings. |
