DD was all about Samuelsson and he looks like a good one .

homie was tom Wilson and Faksa.. and Pearson

- GERBE!!!75PTS

I'd like to trade for Wilson right now
He seems kinda buried on the Caps depth chart
At deadline time, if we aren't gonna sign McGinn or Legwand, and they're having decent seasons... Maybe the Caps will swing Wilson our way for some Vet help
Throw in a pick if necessary
I think he could be a nice player if given icetime
And he fits into our timeline with his age

i'm 100% sure McGinn will outperform him Diamond in the Rough IMO loved him with the sharks he was starting to come on
- GERBE!!!75PTS

There is the injury thing
Plus, McGinn was pretty much a scorer only that year he played with Oreilly & Landeskog...
This year, I see him on our 3rd line with guys like Girgensons & Gionta

There's gonna be a lot of guys fighting to move up the lines, and if Bulsma likes what he sees out of a Foligno or Larsson, etc...
I could def see them taking icetime away from Vets that might not be a part of the future here

Besides the big five (Reinhart, Jack, Risto, McCabe and Pysyk) what prospect are you pulling for the most?

Carrier was really good
Fasching was good
McCabe and Florentino were good
I liked Borgen
Reinhart was awesome, so was Bailey, and Eichel

I barely noticed Karabacek, Hurley or Cornel.
Catenacci was invisible
Baptiste was ok
Evan Rodrigues is not good enough IMO

Dupuy and Eichel had a thing going. Dupuy made a few nice defensive plays and a few nice hits

We'll we don't have any other on the Sabres this year unless u count Girgensons & Larsson...
What's your question exactly?
I happen to think Bailey has improved quite a bit & has the most top6 potential at this point... He's on track
It's an important year for guys like Carrier & Catenacci
Time for them to really step up their game
If not, they could easily get passed by guys like Rodrigues (he'll def be an NHLer IMO) & Baptiste, who I'm also a fan of... Dupuy & Garbowsky also looking to make their mark
If Varone doesn't have a big year & get called up & produce, he might be labelled a career AHLer, and Kea might be out the door after this year if he doesn't step up his game
I'm very interested to see how Possler & Olofsson progress, as they could end up being late round gems

But who am I pulling for MOST?
Fasching, BC his skating is weak & I don't think he makes the nhl unless he improves it quite a bit
Also...
All our goalie prospect, bc I'm not sold on Lehner
And...
We really need Martin or Guhle to work out as a future defenseman for us

I'm not big on Karabacek , Hurley or Cornel... Didn't like any of those picks. I hope they're used as trade pieces.
Good to hear about Carrier. Was expecting more out of him last year. Big season for him this year.
How was Fasching skating?
He looked BRUTAL on Thursday when I was there. Was getting A LOT of individual attn by the coaches during the drills. It's clearly something they're trying to work on with him

U could find quite a few posts from me about not wanting to trade for Getzlaf BC he had a few down years in a row...
(Yikes)
Obv he's turned it back around
Although it sounds like the Ducks were never gonna move him anyways

Fasching looked ok skating. I'm not his biggest fan

I think his ceiling is becoming our version of Bryan Bickell

Baker is pretty high on him. I really liked him during the world juniors but that was a while ago.

It was more.of question about who you like and who you're pulling for.
Every fan has a guy they always wanted to be good.
Like a few year back I really wanted Mike Ryan to succeed.
Now I'm.pulling for a guy like Brady Austin and Kea.
And I always wanted Sundher to be good. You always have those guys that you root for.

I think he's a decent prospect. I'd be surprised to see anything special from him though.

Baker was pretty high on a couple other duds in the last few years as well
