Agreed. I spend most of my time around pretty smart people in the academic world... and some of the dumb poop I have seen and heard is truly (frank)ing mind-blasting

Having a team of lawyers working for your company with international visa expertise probably helps.

Whenever I have to go into Canada for work (which is rare) I have to present documents outlining why I should be approved for a temporary work visa, which my company's legal department has on file ready to go.

He should be both embarrassed and grateful it wasn't much, much worse - but I don't think he'll have too much trouble at the border going forward.

And to be honest, with the exception of the first time at Newark airport (long story), I've always found US customs and associated folks to be pretty decent.

Poor guys were probably drinking all day and night... it is 4am in the morning.

The town they were in only had 4500 people living in it... so you know Tim Hortons is the only 24 hour store open...lol.

They were probably hungry, and decide to make a quick trip for some grub...lol.

I'm sure the old pick up truck doesn't react as quickly turning... so he probably missed his turn and hit the building pulling in...

Looked around... nobody was there... so thought they better get out of there quickly!!!

Only to have the truck break down on the way home...
