Nice show. No ToP or Steve Miller, didn't care about SM but was looking forward to ToP and the horns.
Omar Hakim sat in on drums, some drama going on with the regular drummer...
Journey guitarist, Neal Schon is very good but a little over indulgent in some of his guitar work.
I think it is the first time ever I was on the floor at a big concert, 9 rows back from the stage. It was a good time. Setup/sound was good too.

I was at the Journey show last night as well. We bought some super-cheap tickets up in the nosebleeds and ended up getting upgraded to the last row of section 109. No idea how we got so lucky, but it was a terrific vantage point.
I'm not a fan of their ballads, so I was pleased that there was some solid rock energy for most of the show. Band was a bit mechanical at times, but the new singer is very exuberant and sounds just like Steve Perry, as promised. And the songs are great singalong fun.
Last night was a rare opportunity for me to cruise the concourses at Rogers Arena and check out the upgrades, since I don't usually have time to get out of the press box during games.
The new decor is nice - a little more muted. The lineups seem better and beverage service was easily accessible. And I have to say, the new Canucks-run hospitality staff does seem more friendly and capable than what we had in the past from Aramark.
But I digress—here's the breakdown of the new deals for Grenier, Clendening and Corrado, in the new blog:
