In Utica he was playing RW.

We didn't have a volatile and divided locker room that was scrutinized by the media and arguably the largest hockey fan base in the league. They have been in a losing environment for years. We haven't. Also Shanahan kept Nonuts a gave the team an opportunity to prove themselves also. They never even came close to showing they were a decent team before the deadline.

For sure the Leafs need this rebuild. Let's wait and see if they can stick with it or not.

I am not sure of all the prospects the Leafs have right now, don't really care either. I just know that I like some of our prospects and recent picks and just have to be patient. If our Subban can make the big club in a couple seasons, that will be a big boost. We need to draft and develop top 4 d. Or we will be moving one of our young assets like Cassels or McCann for a highly touted d prospect if nobody in the system can fill that role.

I hope we are definitely sellers if we are not in the playoffs at tdl.

They might be able to have discussions before a trade, maybe agreements in principle or an understanding. But not binding once he is traded.

I wasn't a hater, wanted him to hit more. He did drive to the net a bit and didn't seem afraid to play in the corners. I liked him on the pk and his skating.

I understand the desire to win and keep making the playoffs. But that short term goal can hinder long term success when you stick with old core options on the pp, pk and just limiting opportunity in general for youth, prospects and unknowns.

Thought it was a mistake that Sanguinetti never got a chance with the Canucks and he sounded like he could be just as good as Weber offensively.

Matthias got very limited pp time. Same as Kassian. Even Horvat should have gotten some 2nd unit pp.

It isn't so bad when the vets are leading the way and putting up points but that hasn't been the case.
