$6 bucks saving... even with the price of gas, it is prolly still worth it, maybe an extra 15 or 20 minutes tacked on to the total drive time compared to Husky... can find an excuse to go into the stupid store too... Cheap drumsticks... $5.39 a kilo when you buy the bigger packs so paying $13 or $14ish for say 22 drumsticks... great on the bbq. - hillbillydeluxe
Excellent recipe. I'll definitely make them again. |

Can't go wrong and is tastier than the rotisserie chicken you see in all the stores. |

We have to buy a new bbq as our town house is natural gas only. We have one but apparently it can't be converted >< - Retinalz
Having a natural gas bbq means never running out
Superstore had a sale going on, but not sure if they had any natural gas bbq's. It is funny because all of a sudden I am going off on Superstore, I hate shopping there with all the quantity savings and having to buy 2 or more of something or limits. and having to pay for bags. But the prices are good.
Hard time to buy bbq's right now mid season... this doesn't help, but I think you missed some sales on fathers day.
Just keep looking. |

Just finished watching the 3-3 tourney in Shawnigan. I'm not a pro scout but I've played hockey my entire life and spend way too much time watching and reading about it. Here's a couple thoughts on the players on the ice.
Boeser's shot is everything they say it is. Kid sniped two goals in five minutes both of them on his back leg. Super impressed. Plays with a scowl and looks determined as hell.
McCann carries himself like he's the boss out there. Looks like Corey Perry and isn't afraid to mix it up. He's going to be a great NHLer. Fired a laser of a wrist shot from the top of the circle and scored.
Zhukenov was the biggest surprise, the kid has ridiculous hands and really good wheels. He could be an absolute steal. Didn't look out of place at all.
Subban surprised me too. He has super slick hands and doesn't look like he's too small to be out there. Half of the guys on the ice were 6'3". He has great vision and pick handling skills. Legitimately looked like his older brother out there a couple times.
Hutton looks like a good all around defenceman. Mobile, confident with the puck. Reminds me a bit of Chris Tanev.
Cederholm is a beast and has much better wheels then a few people on here have made it sound.
Lastly Mackenzie Stewart really made some smart plays and looks really confident. He has great potential if he's developed properly.
Didn't get to see Jake, Cole or Demko play either and I left feeling really stoked about the future of the team. |

It's funny you say that. Usually when we throw one back it's gone before it hits the water, but last weekend they would float on the surface until we were sure they were dead before they took off. The biggest fish that we saw was floating dead on the lake. - CubanBuffet
Low oxygen. Thats what happens in hot summers. There will be summer kill. Thats what you were witnessing...just like winter kill, the big ones go first.

Great post. Nice to read something about the Canucks that isn't all doom and gloom.

Crispy skin, juicy on the inside. It's tough to cook chicken that well on the BBQ. |

We'll have to rethink our trip next year, although we figured that we would be fine in early July, it just turned out that it has been a record year for being hot as fck. It's kind of funny, we were just outside of Kamloops where I grew up and normally it's a semi desert, but it was surprisingly green. It wasn't until we got back to Vancouver that the sky was full of smoke. |

The ones they sell at Extra Foods here in Quesnel come with kevlar vests on.... bend a knife trying to cut through the overcooked breast...
 - boonerbuck
It burns easy and I think some of those rotisseries are on for too long, chicken gets all dried out.
We often get the ones from Costco, just because they are convenient, but they aren't very tasty, even if they are supposed to be seasoned with garlic and whatever, you can't taste it. |

You can't be disappointed by a prospect if you aren't excited for them first. It's how we do. |

There's no doubt many here have written him off too early.
Not many kids are of Ekblads skillset and play out of the gate.
The kids on D just take longer. He will be worth the wait.
Thanx for the report... Sounds like Benning is doing what he does best. I just hope he doesn't get run out of town by the whiners before it all comes to fruition. |

If it's just us, he's safe, but as soon as the local media starts banging that drum, it's exceed expectations or else start looking for a new job. And local media has been absolutely kicking the shlt out of that drum since the draft. I'm not sure that they're even aware of who we drafted. |

I think the reason is, the media in Vancouver thanks to Burke (and Nonis to some extent) had near unlimited access to the team/coaches/players and could get all sorts of perks/tidbits/quotes from them. I think the media are pissed that the gravy train is over with. |

Maybe that's part of it, although I thought that Burke hated the media, but I also think that it's just easier to churn out the sky is falling narratives, instead of putting the thought and research into something original. Carol does it daily but it seems to me like most of the people with the loudest voices are on autopilot. |
