This would give the Hawks a savings of 2.5 million per year and a serviceable 5-6 defenseman. I'm not saying Kindl is a stud in any means but he's better than what you currently have at the 5-6 spot.

We need to clear $10M to be able to sign JO and MK for around $6.5M. If $2M comes back for Sharp, we've cleared $4M. If Crawford goes for a $4M goalie, we've cleared another $2M. Versteeg for an $1M player coming back only gets us $1M more in space. Does someone take Bickell and prospect with us retaining $1M in salary???? Thus we clear $3M for him… That's a total of $10M.

I was really hoping to keep Crawford for one more year, but jeez… Everything has to work according to plan...

Again....RE:Crawford....full NMC. Just dont see it. Best asset is Sharp. Just hope SB prioritizes cap space over return at this point.
