Buffalo has one second rounder (their own) and three third rounders next year (their pick, San Jose's OR Dallas' pick and St Louis). - MNHawk
Fine. A 2nd and a 3rd and Sharp is all theirs. |

not necessarily. there's no doubt a few teams interested so Bowman has all the motivation in the world to slow play this until the moment he has to act. there's nothing close to a Sharp on the UFA or trade market so he does have some leverage here. - DoubleDown
As a fan of Sharp's I hope he ends up in Montreal. Be a good place for him and I think he helps Montreal. |

Totally jealous. Can't imagine a show with Dylan and tom petty. What year was it??
On the topic of concerts, I was at the dead show on Friday and Saturday and it was unreal. - benjichronic
I want to say it was 85 to 87 somewhere in there, great outdoor venue, poplar creek, what was cool is Petty came out first, then Dylan then an hour of them jamming together you could tell they were friends and having fun it was lot of fun, very fortunate to be apart of that concert. Petty won me over with his live performance he was outstanding.
The dead concert is more like an event now, Soldier field wow!

I will be surprised if Bowman takes any players, that can't immediately be put in Rockford, or salary from a possible Sharp trade. - dstainer
Not many teams that are interested in sharp can absorb 5.9 without sending contracts back or salary being retained |

What UFA are left on the market that can bring to a team what Sharp can? There aren't any. Trades? Definitely possible. They would cost a team more assets than Sharp will though. - TTtime
His contract could be an issue though. It's not chump change, and most teams that would want him are tight against the cap. |

JJ. I signed up for an account today for the sole purpose of saying "thank you" for being an active and insightful blogger. It's so hard to find good information out there, and even on a good forum like hockeybuzz, a lot of the contributors are half-assed and are pulling stuff you can read in the Sun Times.... So yeah man... Thanks for being on top of your game. We always look forward to your posts. |

While you could be right, that narrows the market considerably, and that doesn't take into account whether the remaining teams want Sharp

According to CapFriendly: MTL, FLA and NYI can all absorb it (want/can two different things), only DET can't straight up. |

id love him here but the rumoured asking price is a bit scary, especially if he's on the downside. |

The point is that he can play in the "A" - in other words $2.2M cap relief.

JJ if you had to guess where will Sharp end up based on what you've heard lately? I know you said Florida a couple weeks back. |

Mtl would have move a salary because we still have to sign Galchenyuk. |

Can't see the Jets wanting to give up any of their other young prospects. Armia seems to be the most expendable.

I can see Stan taking a Dman back and shipping one of our lower end D (Runblad ) if the D Man was an upgrade for us st 5-6-7. |

There's that. Then again, just moving Versteeg at this point to create room in the cap is kind of pointless. Bowman would still need to move one of Bickell or Sharp, and then some... |

How can the Habs absorb sharp?
Habs still have to fill 3 roster spots including signing Galchenyuk |
