I've been in the building 4 or 5 times for Panther's games against various teams - it isn't an NHL experience comparatively speaking. They have plenty of good young players now, they need those kids to become playoffs contenders soon, not later.

Putting Bickell on waivers and sending him down makes more sense. The Hawks top D prospect is not going to be moved...simply to move Bickell.

Agreed Rob. Hawks have plenty of forward prospects to deal--and likely will before October; can't see dealing what they already don't have enough of--barring any other surprise moves, of course.

These kids and team will take the next step this year I believe and getting Sharp would help.

If it dies, it will probably be because Sharp wouldn't waive. He had a specific concern that Tallon likely would have had to get complete organizational buy-in to reassure Sharp on it. Guessing they wouldn't do it—if it is in fact dead.

I don't play that game. Teams underachieve all the time from year to year. All the Panthers need to win games and I saw a lot of good hockey being played by them against top teams. Another year, more confidence and they got rid of dead weight players as well. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think so.

If this drags out past Friday I believe the few remaining teams will drop out and start looking elsewhere

Bet it had something to do with dumping or not dumping him at trade deadline in each of the next two years or offseason, at least to some teams where he wouldn't want his family to live.

I was blasted last week for posting essentially the same, I was told to trust Stan and if he has to he can get rid of these guys the day prior to the season like he did with Leddy.

My point was, if the plan was to diminish the return to a shrinking number of teams by holding on for too long, it is being executed masterfully.
