The California teams growth can be attributed to their youth hockey programs growing. Each team has put a LOT of money into the youth hockey program and are now being rewarded for it. It also doesn't hurt that the SoCal area has won three SC's since 2007.

Yep. Its where it has to start from. At the grassroots. I don't see how anyone who goes to just one game can not fall in love with the game.

FWIW TINORDI is RFA NOW, everyone is including him in the MTL deals. how expensive would he be? and was he one of the 24 that filed for arbitration?

Tinordi hasn't filed. And he would cost about the same as Rundblad considering he hasn't spent much time in the NHL. Even less actually.

I just bought a new Chevy Silverado 4x4 and the wife wants to go crusin' in it tonight...HOW am I gonna do that with all this trade talk going on?

It's honestly been amazing to watch. I'm down in San Diego and have witnessed these programs grow. I play at several of the rinks and was a referee for a couple of years. I mean it's a possibility to grow up in San Diego and actually have a chance to play easy coast college hockey, look no further than Thatcher Demko and Tyler Moy. Now we have an AHL team and more ice rinks being built.
