This maroon just gave me a whole new appreciation for the maple leafs fan base. How sad is that?

I think I'd prefer Kenins over higgins on the 3rd line. We need someone of his style in the middle 6

He does. But we have so many people who do what he does. When you look at our forwards, over half of them are over 31...Thats just not good. Higgins needs to go in place of Kenins for sure.

I know his production last year was less than expected. But I agree. He does have intangibles that some others do not bring to the table. PK Mainly. Hes getting a worse rap than I think he deserves.

I heard a rumour that they tried to move Higgins but no one was interested. Source might've been botch.

Zhukenov highlights in the link. For someone his size, he's got balls.

You know what you're getting with Higgins. He hustles every shift, is decent defensively and also chips in on offense. He's also great in the shoot-out. Unfortunately he's one of those 'tweeners' which has precluded him from really breaking out. He's decent at a lot of things but not great at any one of them in particular, which hurts his value (in a trade or otherwise). I wouldn't mind if he was on the team next year, however. He's got a very reasonable cap hit and is a great team-first type of player - aspects which the younger players would learn from.

It's not what he does that most don't like, it's what he doesn't do. His game has no upside. He's going to get around 40 points. Going to be a solid penalty killer. Would like to see someone else little younger with a possibility to score 50. Lots of players can help them on the PK that have more speed.

Got to think has to be worth something to someone. Nashville is his type of team.

I watched a private video of higgins talking to JB. JB had nothing but respect for the guy. Especially his work ethic.
Only the Sedins work harder than Higgins..

The guy has a ton of respect around the league.

Maybe under Trotz.... But he aint there anymore. Not sure if he'd be a good fit.

If we do it will be a wild card spot. If it takes 95 points to get in maybe if it takes 98 points to get in I doubt we do.

LA is poised for a bounce back season.

San Jose I think could be better or worse. Coaching is a question mark. Aging core. Bad management.

Edmonton I still question if they will get better as their Defence and Goaltending still suck.

Calgary could do very well because of their Defence improvements and secure net as well as a young offensive core that should be just as good.

Phoenix will be the bottom of the league for sure yet again as they have no offence no defence and there goaltending sucks. (Mike Smith should have been bought out)

Anaheim will be tops in our division and probably the league again. Losing Belesky will hurt a little but they are deep. I don't think they will win a cup though at least not with Bruce Budreau as coach.

That is just our division. Lots of other teams trending upwards before us.

????

You are aware that EDM has acquired Sekera, Reinhart, Griba, Letestu and Talbot in goal right?

Talbot had a much better team infront of him. I think Sekera may be a little over rated.

Reinhart is unproven but I will say they have made drastic improvements on their roster.

Will be a thorn in our sides for quite some time.

And their is also that Connor guy.

They are improvements over what was there though. Now with mcjesus.

Side note. I would like Benning to try and swing jimmy Hayes out of Boston now.
Vrbata, higgins, Shinkaruk for loui Ericsson and Hayes.

You're starting to get real annoying, I'm almost not surprised dude was calling you stuff if you were acting like this. No he isn't, it would be more of a cap move. 6'6" jimmy Hayes who had 19 goals last year could be though as a younger 25 year old. That is who I'm interested in.
