In a few years, AVV are estimates. - Artyukhin76
I really don't see Yzerman getting rid of or letting Killorn walk. I know that everyone kind of sees him as the odd man out but he showed especially in the playoffs exactly how valuable a player of his skill, size, and ability to play up and down the lineup can be.

I think streit would be a great pick up for you guys especially moving the puck and on the pp. The years left on contract is a hard pill to swallow but I think he would be a upgrade over Coburn and carle. - jmdodgeser4

Cmon Michael can't we enjoy the ride for a few years before worrying what will happen as it does to all teams, a couple of years is a long time and anything can happen. Trust the boys upstairs know their business better than we do and enjoy the success, it's been a long wait for the Bolts fans to see a playoff team and I think we were a little ahead of the curve this year. No one knows what the cap will be and the Cdollar has a big impact on that and even the finance world gets those numbers wrong. Everyone estimated the cap would be 75-76 mil by now but its 71. Tell me the cap figures for these years and then we can discuss salaries and moves. |

Then who? Kucherov? Palat? JOHNSON? Sorry to burst your bubble, but with his clone going to Syracuse for the up coming season, Killorn IS the odd man out and unless you're willing to trade one of the players from our best line then.... |

Gotta be honest, I think your Stamkos and Hedman numbers are too low, by at least 10% each. - Sandus
Agreed - i dont see Stamkos taking less than Toews & Kane. I also think the Kucherov number is low (albeit that depends on what he does the next two seasons).
Even Johnson may be low - if he hits a PPG next season he could be looking in the $7M range...ROR is a perfect example of a young guy hitting a huge payday.
Lots depends on player performance though so its hard to say. |

Maybe the triplets take a discount based on the fact they get to keep playing with each other for awhile and win cups with stamkos
Obviously they're going to get good money but maybe not as much as they potentially could IF they agreed to it. Will they ever play on as good of a line in their careers ever again? Who knows, doubt it |

I have played with scenarios and its feasible to keep alot of the talent even into the 2017-2018 season when Heddy and the Palat and Johnson are due before the start of that season.
It is feasible to field a team with Stamkos and Hedman at 11MM, Palat and Johnson at 7.5MM, Kucherov on the Ryan Johansson deal of 4MM x 3rs, Callahan and Stralman on their current deals and maybe Garrison, but no Killorn and moderate pay bumps for guys like Drouin and Vasy, and small pay bumps for Vlad, JT, Cedric, etc. Then fill in the roster with younger entry level deals if possible. I have played with hockeyscap.com armchair and this is doable with a CAP at around 76MM.
All this said Carle, Coburn, Filppula, Boyle, Bishop would have to be gone and no salary retention.
Will be interesting to see how it all plays out. |

Perhaps one on how we stack up against the "improved" teams in our division and conference? |

You could write one about how Jimmie Olvestadt was the best player to wear the bolt. With Dimitry Afanasenkov as a close second. |

Individual grades of each player from the past season. That would last you quite a while as well it would create both debate and intrigue on how you felt each player, either performed up to expectations or failed to do so. |
