Who gets Bieksa's minutes?
Sbisa getting elevated to top 4? |
|
|
|
Shinkaruk + McCann - mr.sir
McCann is a non starter. I don't think any younger guys are on the block at all. JVR is nothing special. |

Bartkowski - that's the plan anyways...he's on a one year deal. |

JVR, 2nd
for
Shinkaruk, McCann, 4th - mr.sir
I value Mccann very close to JVR already. Adding in Shink is just because he is behind baer in depth. Adding a 2nd makes that even, us adding a 4th is a little much. If needed we can add a 6th or 7th. |

Doesn't play a 200 foot game, part of the reason the Leafs picked 4th overall this year. |

Disagree.
JVR at 4.25m is one of the best contracts in league.
Big young winger, not afraid to stand in front of net
30 goals easy |

JVR, 2nd
for
Shinkaruk, McCann, 4th - mr.sir
Sorry, but that's a HELL NO. JVR is outside the window of what they are looking to build.
This team needs a rebuild on the D-Core. I am more or less content with the forward prospects we have. |

Problem is, will Sbisa take minutes away from Corrado/Clendening? Or will Sbisa be the guy we sit/send down to AHL to develope further. With that contract i doubt any teams pick him off waivers. |

Honestly don't know. I think Benning took a bit of a flyer on him, no pun intended, because he saw him play in Boston. Obviously like him. Although Claude scratched him several times last year. |

ok then...JVR for Horvat? - mr.sir
I'd certainly be a lot more interested in JVR than Lupul. He's definitely got more value, given his age and reasonable cap hit. Of course, any trade scenario that involves Horvat would require a premium in terms of return, so not sure if a one for one deal would do it (yes, I know there's a little homerism involved, but I think if you ask anyone who the untouchables are on this team, you'd invariably get a response which would include Horvat (as well as the Sedins) |

Don't know - that's why they play the games. It'll work itself out through their play. |

That's Ok.
Leafs fans untouchables:
1) Rielly
2) JVR |

Maybe depends on the system?
But Edler Hamhuis, Sbisa, & Tanev is a pretty solid top 4.
Especially with Tanev stepping up. |

JVR is a big guy with talent, he just has the issue of playing with Grimace and that guy with the weird face, Dion Phaneuf. I think he could contribute a lot with the right coaching staff/teammates. Though maybe adding in Mcann is a little much. Maybe make that 2nd a 1st from toronto. |

you realize that you guys are just 3 years behind us in the rebuild right now...
you will toil in mediocrity for a few years, until the rebuild is a necessity

Well that's an ok top three, I wouldn't go as far as "a pretty solid top 4" |

If Sbisa plays with Hamhuis he will become more defensively responsible. I think he will do well with more minutes. Everyone is to worried about Sbisa. |

Didn't realize Luca was 25 already.
That would be our fault, (flyers), they should have sent him down for a few years, but he played well enough to stay, and he did. |
